she's right - without a cooked breakfast it is just bed - I don't class a cold breakfast as being breakfast in a B & B sense unless you have a choice of a hot one

me neither.....  and let's face it, it's not even much of a continental breakfast!

And that's another thing... there's breakfast in bed.... and there's breakfast in bed!!!

I think the Suba hotel guy is going to mark lowly and pay well under what they are worth.  Candida is a pain in the posteria as well 

They won't be happy about the breakfast marks

But he marked them quite high for most things.....which I find strange

I agree with those who have said that the brekkie thing is part of the experience -  I only usually have grilled tomatoes on toast (sorry Pengy) but it's nice to eat in the dining room and check out the other guests.

OOoo looks like they may be breaking out for breakfast at his place too 

he's playing the game well - he knows the comments come first but mean nothing because this is all based on how much they pay and they don't find out that till the end

I think if you're doing brekkie there should be a choice of hot and cold so people can choose which suits them best.  By offering only a cold option with no where proper to eat it (if you're expected to eat in your room, there should be a table and chair to do so) you could at least make it better than some manky bananas and cold cuts from the fridge

Been catching up with tonight's FIAB.

Wouldn't fancy staying somewhere which is surrounded by razorwire.

Bedrooms were okay but the breakfast was rubbish.

Not a lovely group - Candida's hubby Peter seems the best of the bunch.

Saw bits and pieces of it, breakfast was bad. I laughed at someone,s comment.....Its not a  B&B its just a B

Best part for me booking in somewhere, is having a nice leisurely breakfast, a cereal bar in my room wouldnt have done it for me

 Ditto.......and  if they only wanted to do continental breakfast they should have done it properly...... hot croissants, lots of fresh buttered toast, jam, cheeses, cold meats ,  fruit, juices

The best continental breakfast I ever had was on top of a mountain in Switzerland.  Warm croissants, unsalted butter, apricot jam and a pot of real hot chocolate, totally different to the sort we get over here.  Drools.
