I stayed at a place a bit like this a few years ago.  Shared bathroom and a sink in the bedroom where the owner had left me the previous occupant's (used) soap

......  Mind you all B & B's used to be like this when I was young, but I guess we expect much more nowadays...

I guess because she is a bit lonely and will be watching this ....and they dismiss her as a Nan
