It's all really subjective though, isn't it? The Swan Inn was a 13th centuary establishment, and as such, you should expect that there won't be an en-suite in every room and the doorways would be a bit low. Back then, the people were a bit shorter and they didn't have indoor plumbing. When You think of it in that way, you should be glad you didn't have a chamber pot under the bed!
Although Jill's place was very clean, her breakfast was awful - to me. I never like a full English and I do like having a choice at breakfast. I thought her decor was awful and not very restful.
The hoteliers place was lovely, but it was before Jill's. I wonder if she could go back, if she would mark them differently?
Obviously, the posh place is going to win and, tbh, that is the place I would feel the most comfortable staying in.
What I do find interesting is how all the couples seem to think that people would come to their area just to stay in their B&B. If I were going to Whitby or Bournemouth or Norht Wales, it would be for the attractions and not for the B&B experience.
