Watched it on plus one. The woman is plain nasty - fancy saying you can't bond with someone because of their standards of cleanliness!!! nThe Swan was a bit dusty and not spotless but ....................no way -3 and how does it stop her being friendly to people?

Her place may well be spotless but that's all that can be said for it - she surely has some sort of psychiatric disorder?.

Jill is bonkers and overworked.  If I were running a B&B with my partner, I would expect him to have some involvemement as his name is on the door.

So, she is passionate about her establishment, does she not think that others are as well?  The whole bit about not having a smoke detector in the room was totally OTT, especially as they would not be able to have a fire certificate if it were not safe and she didn't have the meeting point written on her sign.

I don't think Jill has the support from her partner and is trying to do it all.  Imagine not even knowing that Bram Stoker wrote Dracula!  If it were me, I would have made that a huge selling point.

Maybe her partner is out earning a good living which subsidises the B&B ......................in all honesty - it'd probably be more sensible to have someone in to wash up and do some cleaning.

It would make economic sense for the OH to be out earning a regular living - the tourist industry is seasonal and sporadic.

The thing is she's obviously a control freak and can't trust anyone to do the job as good as she can. My MIL was the same (she had a hotel) - she'd pay a cleaner but go round and clean after them.
