and Β£300!
@Baz posted:I hope not , cos I canβt really afford it πππItβs a 6ft high , long fence that Mr B actually built himself β¦which would be even sadder .ππ
aaaww
how nice MrB built that fencie.
..hopefully its just got a bit of a wobble and will be ok now the storm is on the way out.
You may be able to ask someone to put a couple of wooden strenghtening poles in. mrM did and they didn't cost much, They didn't need the concrete ones then

Yes , thatβs a good idea Mollie β¦..we are on a corner , so it takes the brunt of the wind when it comes from that direction . Providing they stay up this weekend I will phone some fence companies on Monday .

yes its worth doing, but tell them you only want the wooden posts for extra support. (not concrete).

edit,.... MrM got metal posts, not wooden ones from amazon to support our fences.
and they have done a good job.
they are Β£22 for 2, and are called Post Buddies.
Β£38 for 4.
you put them right up to the fence posts and bang them in as close to the post as possible, then screw them in.
So you should only need an odd job man to just hammer them in.

Thank you Iβve just found a card for the guys that took down some trees for me , and they do fences too β¦.and they have a 24 hr help line , so I feel a little bit better now β¦.although Iβm guessing all fencing companies will be bliddy busy after the storm ! Even if the panels stay up I think Iβll give them a call on Monday to see if they can reinforce them , ready for the next bliddy storm ! Itβs at times like this that I miss Mr B even more , cos he could turn his hand to anything ππ
