l obviously every team has a chance of beating any other team same as any boxer, no matter how good, can get taken by a sucker punch....but in terms of th two teams if England play as they can and should then te USA really stand no chance.

Aside Rooney England are really lacking up front, their other strikers are only club players and are by no stretch World class. In the middle Lampard is in serious form at the minute however him and Gerrard rarely play well together. Defence is reasonably good with Terry and Cole, and then there is Calamity James as last line of defence.

The English Media can dress it up as much as they want but England are still decidedly average, with 2-3 world class players among them...FACT.

You say that though but Peter Crouch's goal to game ratio is not far behind that of Gary Lineker..a goal every 1.80 games (and a lot of those he's not even started)..Lineker was 1.66 games, Alan Shearer 2.10 and Bobby Charlton 2.16..so he's right up there with the best of the Engalnd strikers in modern times.

If England played as they can, we would have won everything in the past. Several people out because of injury, Capello still sticking to the 4-2-4 which doesn't favour the players. Like I said, nothing is a foregone conclusion.

Like Veggie l hate those stupid horns, it's so continuous l'm almost believing they are playing them over the PA. Hopefully when Brazil play their Samba Drums will drown them out.

Im watching the match on BBC... they were all over them at the start for the first 10 mins, majority of play was played in Uruguays own half. Still bitter about Ireland losing out?
