Majority of play second half has seemed to be around Germanys own box, Argentina then lose possession and Germany start bombing forward. Something Spain or Paraguay need to start looking at... same thing happened to England.

I think we can savely say that Germany is through, they will never get 4 goals in 1 minute. I'm happy. Called Jill, her mates have gone home disgusted. Yes, Germany won.

Germany simply not getting enough credit for how good they are. Every time they win it's the other team that played badly. The truth is they're tearing teams apart with quick, sharp incisive football and they have every chance of winning this world cup. I hope they do, they deserve it, no cheating just great football.

MAPP, I agree that Argentina went forward quite a lot, but Germany is like a terrier. Once they are on the offensive, they want to make it count.

I mean I though it was instinct to lift his hand but Ghana were awarded with a penalty and the Uruguay player was sent off.. the ball would have went in no question but the reaction of the young lad shows how devastated he was. The difference with Ireland was that Henry used his hand ball to create a score not prevent one and he showed absolutely no remorse after. I can see where you are coming from and I do feel for you.

I was saying to my daughter this morning that I thought it would be an all South American final, all changed now and I hope those German boys will carry on fighting.

I must admit I'd not been overly impressed with them up till now cos the opposition they'd played wasn't up to much (and I include England in that)...you can only really tell how good a team are when they play a decent team...well now heyt have and they showed how good they are..(I'd still rather Holland win though, it's be good to have a new name on the trophy).

I agree, they didn't have to show their skills so far (sorry England), but I think they've proved themselves today.

I reckon Italy has the worst anthem and it goes on for ever.  This thing about the anthems is just down to everybody individually. I'd prefer to hear 'Jerusalem' but I'm not even English, so I have no say.

Yea but you are more neutral, the British anthem is so boring and all the other home nations use their own now so we should too really.

I dont think Jerusalem is very fitting really its far too religious and I am not sure I want a Christian hymn as our anthem in this day and age.  And I am not saying that because of the 9/11 stuff its very divisive to others too.

I would prefer "Land of Hope and Glory" and modernise the words if we can.  Less of thee and thou etc.
