Fairfax, Cologne,,,, we are all behind you..... god I bet you are both in pieces at the moment.
Wasted a couple of good chances there! I think that Herr muller knows who I am talking about.
Isadora, I'm gutted about Ghana as well. I would have loved to see them in the final. They really believe in what their doing instead of being primadonnas. GJ, thanks for the support.
I do think Argentina is pushing and will come back in the second hafl.

Yep, but at least it's an exciting game. Even if Germany loses, I'm enjoying it, between having minor heart attacks.

My late lovely Dad would have enjoyed this world cup and he would have been right behind Germany as well. He was a huge football fan - (I only dabble a little really) and a team like Germany would have fired his imagination.Reference:

Watch it for your Dad Isadora

Thanks Isadora, there's not a huge support for Germany and I don't mind really, lots of history. I even had a discussion with my grandson (15) who doesn't know about all the years that have gone before. I just appreciate that the German team have turned out to be better than they were predicted to be by most punters (including myself) and hope they win. If they they don't, hey ho, it's not the end of the world.
I've just returned from Germany Frau koeln! I saw every german game under BBQ circumstances. We have our bangles, hats and flags with us at home. Note my avatar!
Germany need to watch out for the Argentinian onslaught in the second half. Not in footballing terms of course, I mean cheating, diving, doing everything imaginable to swindle a penalty out of the referee and get German players sent off. That's Argentina, classy outfit.

I have yet to speak to anyone over 40 who does not support Germany - we remember that hand of god and also the whole Falklands war thing..
.....obviously we had our England shirts on last weekend though but.

I'd rather see them win fair and square. Hope the second half doesn't get worse. It's a good game so far.Reference:

I spent Sunday at my daughter's (she's German) and I was the only one going mad about Germany winning. Mind you, she's changed her support now, the turncoat.
Boateng having a cracking game.
Argentinas back four... useless.

She`ll be jumping up and down now then!
Threeeeeeeeeee!!!
Shocking defense by Argentina again, even Heskey could walk through that.
Heinze looks way out of his depth and the midfield doesnt even exist.

Yes, but she's surrounded by antis, I call her up every time Germany scores.

I don't want to rub it in, but I'm so pleased. Especially as I had very little faith to begin with and Argentina was always the big threat. Not to say that England wasn't, but they were not playing well before the German game and I felt more secure.

This might be a young side MAPP, but they do seem to carry on in the footsteps of the past and still seem to be very good in getting past any defense, but I take your point.Reference: cologne
