He's had a kick in and a half on 5live tonight and it's still going on. The only people defending him were Perry Groves and that Burnley bloke who went on countdown! And even they said the fans were right to boo the performance but Rooney just reacted in the heat of the moment - where have we heard that before?

Did you hear the David James Interview on the radio? I posted on here as it was going on and it's generated loads of comments on the radio.
Reading between the lines he seems really unhappy with the Postman Patalike Capello and my interpretation of what he was and wasn't saying is that Capello is causing the pressure!

The match was so bad I fell asleep whilst watching it - so luckily I was spared most of the pain. I think Rooney's pre-match comment about the Algerians' chances backfired big time.

Rooney was poor, no doubt about that, I'm sure he knows that better than any of us and must be frustrated and v v disappointed in himself. I didnt realise we had a WC thread! This is easily the worst England team I have seen and that includes do i not like that Taylors squad.  So much for the golden generation this is the pewter period.  And yes Rooney if I had travelled thousands of miles costing me thousands of pounds to watch that tripe against a team made up of French reserves I would have booed you too.

I wanted us to have Cappello because I thought he would take us away from this reliance on the kick and rush and yes Beckenbauer is right even if his comment was in response to us accusing them of cheating by using the new ball in their domestic league .  Ironically he said the same of Taylors team too and he was right then we still havent learnt.
