I quite like the Germans...except when they're playing England.

4-0 sorry, I think the South Americans or Spain  will win, but it's nice to see Germany go forward like this. England didn't manage that.

I am glad particularly cos they suffered such a blow when their captain was put out of the running - so good for them.

The Germans are just awesome....my in-house pundit has just informed that they are a relatively young and inexperienced team...that's gonna put the fear in to the other fancied sides.

Nice of the ref to kill the game completely with a horrendous red card decision. Losing Cahill has probably destroyed Australia's hopes of progressing from this group. In fairness to Germany it wouldn't have affected the outcome of that particular game. Easily the best performance from any team so far in the world cup, very well deserved victory.

The Japanese ref thother day was good....but I've noseen any dirty play...a few mistimed tackles but nothing really nasty.

Don't get me started on the subject of refs. Mention Martin Hanson in Ireland and there are near riots. The git that allowed that cheat Thiery Henry's hand ball

Yeah I agree although as an Arsenal fan I'm hyper sensitive about bad tackles and the one on Sagna could have been a real horror if his foot had been planted.

It was also him who refereed the 1st CL game between the Gunners and Porto when he allowed the quick free to be taken and the Arsenal players didn't realised play had resumed.

I loled the other day at some one who was discussing the English Pundits slagging off a referee before a game saying hes not usually a good ref etc, and this person said 'Its a bit rich the English slagging off other referees, the last ref they sent to the world cup gave out 3 yellow cards...to the same player.lol'
