I just seem to be plodding along the last couple of weeks. 1lb last week and the same the week before. So I've really tried harder this week, it's weigh in day tomorrow so I'm hoping I've lost something. I really want to reach the 100lb target by Christmas, 80 down with 20 to go! :Countdown smiley: Big Grin

afternoon all ... i'm back off a 3 week holiday from the states.. and I feel like a doughnut.. thou I never ate one... (Lori.... whats happening to krispy creme outlets.. only 3 left in north CA !!!)...
Anyway... I don't have scales at home.. and I travelled home in the same trousers as I went in.. but god I feel like a beached whale !!!! I'm at fat club tomorrow for weigh in and I'm gonna say, 'just write it in the book and don't say a word'... then I will look and reach for the vodka bottle when I see what damage I have done !!! hahaha...

Welcome back, pgtips! You were in California, huh? Do you have family there?

We have a handful of Krispy Kreme stores here, including one dangerously close to my house. I'm not really a donut lover, but I LOVE Krispy Kremes. However, we pretend it's not there, and avoid it (at least *I* do--my husband is home unsupervised all day...for all I know he's a regular customer!!)

Good luck with the weigh-in, although, it can't be THAT bad if you're still wearing the same trousers!

I'm back on track... got something to aim for Ninja

I haven't had carbs after 3pm and it is dropping off Eeker

Had a little concoction of my own imagination tonight, lemon prawns and runner beans and it was blooming lovely. I have lost 5lbs since sunday Eeker being too good this week to get the feel good factor and then slipping into sensible eating.

Hi Lori... we had a week in South Carolina then had two busy weeks all over California... Clovis, Danville, Monterey and Davis... 3 days in San Francisco, saw a 49ers game.. then a baseball game.. went to Alcatraz... Whale watching (saw humpback whales and dolphins) off Monterey and done the aquarium there too.. oh and six flags theme park.. !!!
I did have to undo the trousers on the plane but it was a long flight !!!!!!! thats my story and I'm sticking to it...

Isn't that the way, though? These days I much prefer a "lay at the beach" vacation. Last fall, we bought a little house on a lake, about an hour or so from home, and we've spent quite a few lovely, quiet weekends there, and a couple of spells of 5 days each. Yogi - I try not to eat carbs , I always feels so bloated and lethargic when I do, I've cut out potatoes and only have bread once a week, I do miss eating pasta though!!

PG your holiday sounds fabulous, I'd love to see more of the States. Only ever been to Florida myself.
The food is awesome isn't it, I remember in my 2 week Floria holiday I put on nearly a stone Laugh I ate like it was going out of fashion.

Tigi well done on 3lb... wow nearly 100 lb.. you are well on track with only 17 to go... well done...
Well I went to fat club to be weighed and the damage was 4.5lb.. soooooooooo I'm not to disappointed as works out at a pound and a half a week that I was away...
So back on track and had a tasty salad for dinner and vodka instead of wine !!!! lol...

Lori have you heard of 'five men burger and fries' ????

Lori.. yes thats it... and yes they are probably responsible for a pound and a half..... give them a go... they are GOOD !!! there were five of us and they advised us not to get fries each just two large ones.. and we couldnt finish them !!!!! they also do sweet potato fries too !!!! yummy....
Lets hope they are close but not to close !!!

Evening Ickle... hope the weight shifts soon.. I have been told if you eat 'not enough' the body goes into starvation mode and holds onto everything.. just a thought .. xx

i've heard that too, but i find that i eat that little kcal just by only eating when i'm hungry... its really annoying, cause i'm not starving myself, OR stuffing myself :@

Mmmmmm.... I LOVE the sweet potato fries! We have a Kidd Valley too close to our house, and I always get their sweet potato fries and tell myself it's not really fries. Devil

That would suggest to me then that 1500 is what you are using up as well - status quo.
Maybe if you drop a few cals for a bit 50 to 100 at the most and not for too long, it might encourage the weight do drop off a wee bit more. Conversely a few MORE cals,might actually work in helping shed a few more pounds, even though that may sound a bit cotrary to losing weight. It's to do with what pgtips was saying about the body 'holding on to stuff'. Smiler

almost at the end of my reaaaallllly strict week... next week it will be back to normal meals and i might move my carb limit up to 6pm. I am struggling a bit Frowner

but 7lbs in the first week i can live with the boredom Laugh only 4 weeks to my night out and i would "LIKE" to lose another stone but if i get into the next stone (8lbs) I'll be happy.
