I used to love those horse play things - and the witches hats.
They're judged as too dangerous now

That horse was great, you could push it so hard it would nearly come off its pivot thing. And no bouncy surfaces then, just broken glass and dogshit
Mr Meat and King Kev will recognise that rocking horse
Lovely pic Fracas! Awwwww those horses were brilliant, remember when kids were allowed to play on horses, witches hats and seesaws All of which had concrete underneath to catch you when (not IF) you fell, none of this rubber matting stuff they have these days.
I'll be back later to feast my eyes on all of the hysterical fabulous new photos.
I'll have to see if I can rake some more out to humiliate myself with.

Thankyou Cinds for this thread. I have laughed and laughed at some (not all) of the pics in here, especially the basin cut years 'cos I had that haircut. The crimpelene years 'cos I wore those frocks, and the boy years, I was a boy too at one point. Thanks again, and I will try and get a picture up.
Note the bliddy ribbons. My mum was fixated with ribbons, we used to pull them out after five minutes.

Hey Sez
they're lovely, how sad about your little cousin, terrible to lose a child.
I know what you mean about the ribbons. I think I mentioned it earlier in the thread about how many of us had ribbons in our hair.
Did you used to have different ones to match different outfits?

Veggie We did have matching ribbons to outfits, I think it shows our age.
Trouble with my pics, is, that is how my sister sent them to me and I don't know how to separate them. She scanned them in together instead of seperatly
They are both me
I love this one...my nephew showing Mummy his two sore fingers. How Mummy kept a straight face I will never know

BBBS posted really excellent instructions - but I don't know where they are - Doh
If I remember it right, you can change the size when you upload the pic.
If you have already done it, I think you can click on the photo then you get an button to edit then click on tools.
Sorry if that's not right hun

We had one of them sun loungers ('Mum's Sun Lounger'), they were brilliant at chopping the ends of your fingers off, and for going rusty if they were left anywhere near any form of moisture, i.e. the atmosphere. And if you sat on it right in the middle it would fold itself up and trap you.
I remember buggies being particularly dangerous too. None of this namby pamby safety shite.

People still pay good money for that haircut...
...our mothers could have made fortunes with their kitchen scissors.
Did anyone's dad used to cut their hair with one of those razors in plastic things? I remember me dad cutting his own hair with one of them. And having solid shaving soap with a shaving brush, with one of them razors you had to replace the individual blades in (50p for 10 down Wigan market). And him having bog roll all over his face when he slashed himself to ribbons.
they wanna come see my mum after a glass of chardonnay ! im sure she'll oblige LOL!
i can say they were both not impressed when i posted this on facebook i have loads
