Oh I just saw Vancouver mentioned Eeker we spent six weeks there visiting friends and I totally loved it, I reeeeally didn't want to leave lol, if I could have just continued life there I'd have been happy to live there, beautiful place. We've several Brit friends who emigrated there years ago and they've never wanted to return to the UK, don't blame them lol.

Ive only just realised how this thread started out as I came in on the end of it lol. Dave or anyone else at GaGa totally appreciate you keeping us informed about June 1, and totally appreciate your interaction with members here, totally unheard of at Ch.4 lol.

Having been on many Forums for years I'm more used to how good Forums are run so really struggled with the Ch.4 one and over time realised that for some members there it was their only Forum so put up with it even though they disagreed with so much. This one has shown them what they've been missing all that time Smiler

Hi Lori, used to know someone in Seattle, as we're speaking places, but that was some years back, and she didn't like the place as it always rained, but the coffee was great, and my ma has some family in Vancouver, so well placed. Wink wavey

Yes, it DOES rain a lot, but that's what makes it so pretty. The best time of year is August-October, but it's VERY pretty here, now. Smiler
And the coffee IS great!

You know, Seattle is a LOT like Vancouver. Nod

You're welcome Lori, I like to show appreciation where it's deserved Nod

Although all our friends initially migrated to Vanvouver they eventually spread out a bit and one of them went to Seattle and he's still there and loving it. Smiler When we made our trip to Vancouver to stay and visit with 2 friends who married and settled there we had a lovely surprise party where all our friends turned up from wherever they'd eventually moved to in Canada, it was such a great night catching up with them all and meeting their new partners and listening to their stories of how life was treating them over there, and it was and still is pretty damn great for them lol Big Grin

Although I enjoyed taking part in some of the convo's at Ch. 4 I never liked the set up there. For me, so personally speaking, it was the most restrictive Forum, and lacking in so many facilities that I'd got used to in around 12 years on the web, that I'd ever come across.

When I'd read that for some it was the only Forum they visited I really wished they'd spread their wings a bit more to realise what a good Forum knows what to offer to members. Anyway that's all in the past and I don't miss Ch4 at all and wasn't upset at all when it closed. I've liked seeing what members here enjoy about this Forum that they never had a chance to at the other one

Ha! Are you kidding me?? I saw a post last night from 3:30am!! Only SOME of you are in your beds. Wink
