Despite it not being the easiest track to overtake, the drivers gave it a go and provided a good show. I enjoyed it. Everything is starting to tighten up a bit, nice. Now we have the seed of Alonso to RB being planted - can't wait for the summer break to end

Didn't manage to find the qualifying anywhere, except for a 5 minute clip of the leaders of each 'Q' session going over the line and a short clip of Hamilton's pole position lap.

I have to say Qually was quite exciting. Di Resta for a short period had pole! But I loved Hamilton crossing the line in pole. My neighbours will be wondering what was happening

Half way and not a drop of rain!

Kimi - What a shame you had to retire, but well done on your run.

4 laps from the end and no rain, oh well, as long as Seb finishes ahead of Alonso I'm relatively happy. Shame Hammy could not keep his second spot.

Well, I think Seb's race was just too strong for everyone today. I do get the feeling that he is creeping inexorably toward the championship again.

Shame about Kimi, bigger shame about Di Resta.

Do you think Coulthard's going to have to fork out for a new suit for someone?

I happened to be looking to other way when David got "Champered" so not sure if ti was Hamilton or Vettel.  But it's all good fun and they all seemed very relaxed and enjoying it. Alonso needs to pep himself up a bit, a shade on the dour side sometimes.

I commented about Kimi ^, but yes, shame it's ended the run, but it will take something to beat it at 27 races.

It was both of them!

I know Seb can be a cheeky monkey when he wants to be

Eddie, that shirt, No!

Disappointed with Hamilton performance but pleased where Alonso ended up and The Hulk has done good too.

Hamilton was a wee bit disappointed too!

Was a good qualifying - enjoyed that.

Me too.

Although it was a bit too much "me, me, me" from the Italians at the end, not entirely gracious to the winner. Jean Alesi was a bit abrupt with Alonso walking away from him mid sentence!

Positive was Hamilton's strong racing, trying to overtake and make up ground. If they could get a more consistent and competitive car under him he would be challenging for sure. He had a slight off day during qualifying, but can't fault his desire in the race today.

Would like to see a strong end to the season from Mercedes and have them push Ferrari in to third place in the constructors championship.

Yes , it was interesting that before the race EJ & DC were saying pretty much the same as I wrote above, then following the race Hammy seemed to be suggesting similar.

The boy Vettel won that one at a canter (and got a nice little stat to boot - more wins than Alonso).

The thing that made me laugh was watching the BBC highlights we got the safety car and then the safety car was in next lap. Time travel

I think the commentators got it right, Vettel shot off again and the other drivers were all a bit tardy, so any opportunity to pressure him went within minutes. But the pack were squabbling nicely, plenty of action with them

Alonso to McLaren may be worth watching. Although Raikkonen to Ferrari may work against that too.  I heard something on the radio commentary about Honda becoming involved with McLaren next season. Anyone know anything about that?

I heard it too. As far as  I know, it's not until 2015 apparently. Might be good though, Mercedes hasn't done much for them as far as I can see
