How sad am I, watching the repeat!
as sad as me, i watched both too, well almost, did nod off a couple of times this morning
had a quick scan through of your posts EC, you summed it up brilliantly
good win for Lewis and i am starting to go off Rosberg
he is not as gracious in defeat as Vettel

Thanks Barney.
Hope you enjoyed the race as much as we did.
Yes, I was discussing Rosberg with Dame, I think we all know what he needs to do and some of it is being gracious as you say.
Russia next up.

I've never been a fan...but I saw nothing wrong with Hammy's move this morning...the better driver took the lead in my eyes Barney
yes thanks EC and Dame, enjoyed the race much more than the last one
really enjoying Max Verstappen, a possible future champ in the making with a touch of the Eddie Irvine attitude
deffo nowt wrong with Hamilton's move, as they said in commentary, every other driver would have tried the same!!

I reckon he's going to be champion with the right breaks Barney....cool kid
Rosberg needs to get a grip, like Coulthard said, don't be ashamed to be second and be beaten by a better driver, when you've given your all

yes, Coulthard is very experienced in that
Hamilton seems to be in a different league, would be interesting to see him and Vettel in similar cars, think that would be a closer call

I papped Coulthard the other week...just for EC
I agree about Vettel..I think Rosberg's lost his fight along the line...shoulders stooped most of the time, he always has that defeated look about him

Not of the mad kind, but I do like his work on the BBC and I like how he does not mind having a spat with Eddie Jordan.
I was in the enviable position of being able to wake up today, switch on the telly and watch the F1 practice from Sochi in my comfy bed.
It was interesting to a point, someone decided to unload diesel onto the track from a lorry, so they did not get a full session in.
Bring on Saturday.
Nearly forgot, toward the end Lewis cooly avoided a spin in front of him, not that it ever looked like it would trouble him, but he was close to the car at one point.
Did anyone see FP3 this morning. I hope he's ok

From what I've read, he was giving thumbs up as he left the circuit.

Yes, I saw it, and by what they're saying now he seems ok
As for what Tost's saying though I wouldn't have thought he'll be driving tomorrow
Interesting interview with Bernie there
News there. Both drivers staying at McLaren
Interesting interview with Bernie there
I find Bernie an immensely frustrating individual. You always get next to nothing from his interviews, he is a cagey individual who seems to want everything on his own terms and gives an air of someone who is untouchable and confident that everyone will 'toe his line'.
I also feel that everyone (including the BBC) stop well short of really being open about him or wanting to ask and pursue the really hard questions.
I wish that people would start saying that they are 'tired' of Bernie's reign and attitude.
I want Formula One to have a more level playing field for all teams, what I want is more competition at the sharp end and for teams not struggling to get cars on the circuit.
Apart from that it's all sweetness and light.
How are you doing Sprout?
Murray Walker
92!
Happy Birthday Murray
I agree with you and before long he'll go the same way as Blatter I'm hoping, (you never know what goes on behind closed doors)
I'm ok, could be better
Is that Mercedes 'proper' engines?

Yes, I hope so. It feels like the era of the dinosaur is starting to end.
Well I hope you enjoy the F1 and your day picks up.
Is that Mercedes 'proper' engines?
Missed that.

Marussia taking Merc engines and Renault for other stuff
I don't know if it's full engines though or second hand stuff

Very nice. I missed the bacon sarnies at work as I was off Friday. I bet the kitchen smells brilliant, bacon smell is superb.

I seems that they usually get the previous years engine.
I wonder if Gene Haas will shake things up given what he's done on the American side of things

One never knows for sure, but characters aren't a bad thing in my book.

I've taken to doing bacon in the oven cos I'm sick of cleaning the cooker. It takes a bit longer though. I'm not going to fry as many eggs either

I may miss Q3 as I have arranged to pick up a book from a friend during their lunch break and that happens to be 1:00pm.
Just hoping they call soon as I could possibly make it out and back for Q3 all being well.
If not, then it's iPlayer for me.
Aww, hopefully you can do it
