well done to Webber   2nd place is far better than a non finish

Yes, that was a bit strange. He seemed to agree that there were team orders for him NOT to race/pass Webber at that late stage, but when asked why he disobeyed them, he then came out with the 'misheard/misunderstood' stuff.

I liked the post race meeting in the waiting room. You could see Webber was super-miffed, but stayed pretty cool.

Although all the team orders today in both Red Bull and Mercedes added a nice dash of spice to the proceedings to add to the on track fun.

Can't argue with that, even if Vettel causes me to lose one of my drivers.

I think that Webber will be with Red Bull for the season. There is a few weeks break now and I think that the management team will smooth over the cracks - even though Webber will still probably be annoyed for some time to come.

Yep. He thinks he now has some rights over Webber, who imo is a better driver but never got the better drive until Red Bull, at which point he was demoted to Team driver no. 2.  Couldn't blame him if he went elsewhere next season tbh.

Me either Xochi, but what other team is as good as (for all the cheating) Red Bull and at his racing time of life?

I'd love to see him get one up on Vettell

Red Bull may have to back off from the blatant favouritsm after all this public row. Hopefully Webber will have a fair bite of the cherry for a few races at least.  But yes, he must be coming to the end of his driving career in the next year or so.

Not a bad call, but I wouldn't write Perez off just yet and would Webber want to play second fiddle yet again?

"but I wouldn't write Perez off just yet"

Yes, agreed Xichoquoshikoli . It's far too early in the season to judge Perez and McLaren have a fair bit of work to do on the 2013 car for it to be consistently competitive.

I can't see it myself. It would feel like career over if he went to another team to play No.2. But as each year goes by Webber's light fades. I think he has to do something significant this year, starting with more consistent podium finishes and a serious attempt at the title.
