(why do they show so many edited versions?)

Down to money I guess, and what Sky say they can have, but in my mind....with as much sport as the BBC/ITV have lost, surely they've saved enough money to club together to pay out for the most widely watched

Yes, absolutely perfect. Just hope the rest of the race goes the same way.

barring mechanical issues I can't see him losing EC.

I mostly agree, I think that if Rosberg mounts a challenge late on in the race Hamilton would not battle him too much.

And just as I say that Rosberg makes a mistake, locking up and Hamilton now has a 5.6 second lead.

Now Rosberg has a loss of engine power !!

He's lost ERS.

Now Hamilton is losing 2 seconds a lap to Massa !!!

Although it sounds like they are managing Hamilton's pace.

I was a tad worried until I heard the message from the pits EC..I'm going to have to record the rest of the race

OK Dame.

Let's hope everything goes well for the final stint of the race

Catch you later.

As per usual I forgot my total news blackout and was tipped off as to the qualifying result by both ITV but worse of all the BBC, boy do they annoy me, giving the result before they show it - barstewards!

The Race.

Well it look in most part quite an average race more notable for the number of retirements and pit stop mistakes.

The best bit, Hamilton takes the honours and has a bit of banter with The Terminator!

I would love to see Hamilton go on a little run of wins.

Happy F1 fan here

German Grand Prix cut from Formula One schedule !!

The German Grand Prix has been cut from the Formula 1 calendar for 2015, leaving just 19 races on the schedule.

Hockenheim hosted the event in 2014, won by Nico Rosberg, but is supposed to alternate with the Nurburgring.

However, the Nurburgring has changed ownership and baulked at paying the hosting fees for the 19 July race.

Hockenheim, which has a contract for 2016, was asked to step in but track officials failed to agree terms with F1 commercial boss Bernie Ecclestone.

The last time Germany was absent from the F1 calendar was in 1960.

No, I like the European races.

At least you don't have to worry about Germany 2015

Oh, I don't know. They might have come up with a solution by the time we get there!

It makes me wonder, mainly because that money grabbing troll Ecclestone will want his pound of financial flesh.

Personally I would like to see it back on the calendar, but time is an issue if you think about the logistics and all the people who may buy tickets and have to travel etc.

Yes, you are spot on, I heard that this morning during conversations between the BBC F1 team.

I'm liking the grid for tomorrow, hoping that there is going to be a battle at the start and some of the other drivers who are slightly out of position fighting to climb the order.

B*gger. 4 laps to go and it's not quite worked out how I would have liked it.

Still, it's good that Mercedes know they don't have it all their own way. Bodes well for a more competitive season. Although I really don't like Ferrari.

Not sure what Eddie Jordan has been on but I don't agree with some of the stuff he came out with pre-race.

Sebastian of all the drivers is a potty mouth - but I like him.

Eddie Jordan, for all the fact that he ran a team, almost always spouts a load of rubbish!

However, he's fairly consistent with that.

That was a bit crazy in the pack off the grid!

I'm always up and watching when it's on the BBC - and sometimes when it's on sky too!

I was up too, but stayed in bed up until 3 mins before blast off!

Then I got up and watched from the living room, but did not really get on my computer till later.

The two things that got me were the comment about a race not being in Germany means all the talent will not come through (Scandinavia Eddie?) and to flip it Malaysia have had the race for years now, where are all the talented young Malaysian drivers?

The other was about one of the Renault cars queue jumping. Apparently that is the rule and they broke it, again, what are you think Eddie?

Perhaps i should have worded it; up, watching and posting!

Well. I do a match report which will eventually find its way onto the Sports forum. Bit awkward to post here too. Maybe oneday.....

but kinda depends on where the TV is in relation to where the PC is.
