Onetoo, are you using a version of IE?
And if so have you done the 'FIX' that is in the hints and tips forum?
The real forum, not the thread about it that's on a sticky at the top.

Hi Fluffs, yes I'm using I.E. I haven't looked at any fixes basically cos that's the only thread that I can't read, so I couldn't pin it down to anything in partic
I think everyone knows you're having probs Pam.
I am OK using Firefox and haven't had any probs on here. Don't know what to suggest......

Tis ok Bunn, I just wanted peeps to know I wasn't ignoring them
Pam, you said you couldn't see anything after my "'ere comes trouble" comment.
In the same post the next line begins with a music symbol and for the first time I used the "Paste from Word" feature.
If you cannot see that music symbol I could edit that post, remove it and see how you go on. Let me know............
Perhaps that is the prob?

The 'fix' basically overcomes IE's problems with most of the display issues, however one cannot promise that EVERYTHING will suddenly be OK, but it will help a lot. Although I am now mostly using FF, I also have IE on my computer and looked at the fix and applied it to my copy of IE and it DID make a difference. Of course it's long enough ago that other problems have come to the fore since, but applying the 'FIX' will not do any harm.

That's right Bunn, I can only see the first line saying here comes trouble
Have You got a fix for Firefox fluffy

Bunny, that's one of the main problems that IE has, it cannot interpret stuff pasted from word. so it just stops at that point.

Hi muf, I wasn't aware of any real problem with FF. What problem do you seem to be having?
Fluffy, Pam I will edit the post.
I was using the "Paste from Word" button 3rd from the right in the Post Comment toolbar.

I have edited that post and removed all the MS Word tags.
How is it now Pam?
Trouble is, if you can now see the rest of the page you'll be able to read all the sarcy comments!

Every couple of posts the side screen-->> disappears and I can't post until I refresh the page.(It did it while I tried to post this)
Ah right, that's a general problem, not specificto any browser in particular. We all seem to be experiencing it from time to time. Its erratic nature and inconsistency is however what is making it hard to resolve. We're all just having to grin and bear it for the moment.

Won't be using "Paste from Word"again then. Shame.

Thanks fluffy, that'd explain why it doesn't happen in LC but it doesn't happen if I'm using Chrome though Chrome has other issues Add Reply
