Went around to my mums earlier... and I said if Barclaycard ring then just say im not here, said it three times.

Later on they ring, she said "one sec il just get him for you" and im shouting at her (in silence:crazy

that im not here... and then she says

"Oh, he says hes not here"

I don't even know if she was being serious or taking the mick.

My kids do that to me all the time....my friends don't know whether they're kidding or not so nobody really takes offence....'Mum told me that she's in the shower' is our buzz word....one of my mates told my son that he has the cleanest mum in the world

my Dad sits with his bloody newspaper all day (no one is allowed to touch it)
And we ask - "What's on telly?"
To which he replies "I don't know"
The life long reply arrives "Well you have the paper"
But he insists on flicking the channels really really slowly - and i'm sitting there thinking all my life "Are you taking the p***"
So i sed it the other day,
"Are you deliberatley being bloody awkward? Doing it as slow as you can?"
He genuinely looked bemused and sed, "No"
And i had to say "You cud have fooled me - your like a sodding tortoise"

this made me chuckle i used to hate my mates ringing and my mom explaining where i was and what i was doing

I used to say don't tell them everything just tell them i'm out !

It was especially when Boyfriends used to ring and i'd have told them i was going on a wild night out only for her to say ohh shes gone to Julies for her tea

I relate to that totally....my mum would say "hold on, she's here watching Quincy with her dad" when I was supposed to be doing something way cooler
