I was beginning to think that City would hold out for a point. However, after that wonderful Luiz goal the game was over imo; regardless of Mancini's seemingly knee-jerk reaction to try and change his system, and without the excellent solo goal late on from Ramires.

I'm now hopeful of a Top 3 finish for Chelsea.

IMO Chelsea are Uniteds biggest opponents, Arsenal always bottle it when they get close mores the pity-hope I'm wrong.

I'm well happy with that result. I don't think City deserved to get anything at all out of that game the way they played. Mancini's probably going at the end of the season and the PL won't miss him one jot. We're still not back to our best but we're showing glimpses of it. 3rd place is realistic and I'll be happy enough with that.

Shocking officiating in the Sunderland game but Sunderland were crap anyway and deserved what they got: sod all.

pleased with the result today..........think torres is improving and the crowd weren't happy he was taken off.....it's pretty clear he's short on confidence....and how is he going to get it with carlo subbing him all the time??.........i still think he'll come good....

i was disappointed with city tbh.......and balotelli looks completely disinterested...they obviously missed tevez enormously.....

great moment in the warm up with dzeko taking the piss out of balotelli by pretending he couldn't work out how to put his bib on.......
SS
spongey I think the problem with Torres is nobody will pass to him. Is there something personal going on there do you think? Malouda flatly refuses to pass to him, Lampard ignored him three times and ballooned the ball over the bar instead (though admittedly Lampard is one selfish prick anyway).

He's not going to score if he doesn't get the ball. It doesn't matter how good he is if he's playing by himself. He looked well pissed off today and I don't blame him.

Im not sure what he can do in 10 mins tbh when we are 1-0 down...
MrMincePie
his body language shows disinterest meaty........there was still ten minutes to go........as brian clough said..'it only takes a second to score a goal'.........you can't give up at 1-0 down with ten minutes plus injury time left and think its game over..

i'm not a city fan.......obviously you hear more of the terrace talk than me...is he unhappy at city?.thinks he should play every week and is narked cos he doesn't?.....he just looks like he doesn't want to be bothered......and i think it's a shame..cos the bits i've seen of him he looks a great player...if only he'd sort his attitude

prom........yer know i've got a feeling there's a bit of jealousy regarding torres within the team.....noses have been put out of joint.......like you say.....some seem to ignore him when he's the better option....kalou and malouda the main culprits.....but even drog and anelka seem to prefer to hog the ball rather than give it to him

how true this is i dunno.........but according to the gossip in the matthew harding lower....carlo is out in the summer.......and they're looking at getting jose back..probably just terrace talk.......especially the jm bit......but i can see carlo going by 'mutual consent'

Body language? There wasnt much he could do today... he's come on when we are 1-0 down. Our midfield is a major problem, the only player who seems to create anything is Silva, all the opposition have to do is mark him out the game and its over.
MrMincePie
i think it's a given that it's c/l or he's out prom.......just finishing top 4 isn't going to be considered good enough

i'm torn on j.m..........on one hand i think he'd give us a massive boost....the players/fans loved him....and he knew how to get the players to 'play for the team and him' and not themselves......it could be the best thing ever.........on the other hand.....if it goes tits up he's out again.....an i dunno if he'd take the risk to his ego........but then i can't see roman admitting getting shot of him was a mistake and getting him back........but then this is chelsea so who knows!!!

if it's not jm then god knows who'd come in....i just can't think of anyone........we're a bit of a poisoned chalice.........maybe hiddink?..but i don't know where he is now.....and again he was well liked

personally i reckon jm will end up at utd or city
SS
well we could go on til the cows come home meaty!!.i still think he has a piss poor attitude....and i still don't agree that a forward of his quality should think that its game over at 1-0 down with 10 minutes left.that's why he was sent on.to try and equalise

i like silva....good player.....what about barry?...do you think he's gone off the boil of late?

as for dzeko being better than tevez........no chance......i think anyone would want tevez in their team...such a great player imo
