Excuse me ! My Dad supports Exeter, goes to every home match & used to be on the board of directors

Fair enough. I'll commiserate with him instead

He's a proper footy fan. If you don't suffer you don't know what being a footy fan is all about

They do very nice home made carrot cake apparently and the pies aren't too bad either.
However the football ground that makes the best pies is evidently Morecombe.
Wigan do the worst..

He wouldn't even talk to the Man U TV channel but I suspect that was because Carragher (Liverpool defender) made a potentially career-ending tackle on Nani (Man U player) and in his defence if I was him nothing I would have said in response to that would have been suitable for public viewing but he's still a twat for blanking the media it's the one time he should have stood up and given them all hell. Disgusting tackle from Carragher and for once the rednosed twonk should have gone mental to all who would listen.

Carragher apparently sent a note to the Man U dressing room apologising to Nani and then waited outside to apologise to him in person. Kudos for that, wonder if Rafael did the same for his bad challenge.
I despise Nani and wait to be convinced that his subsequent collapse in front of the ref was anything more than a ploy not to get booked or sent off for chasing after the ref and grabbing him.
Shocking challenge from Carragher all the same though

There has been little said about Rafaels 2 footed horror attack on Lucas which would certaintly have resulted in a leg break had Lucaus not jumped up at the last second. Nani is a crying moaning little bitch, Carras tackle should have been red carded but so such Rafaels. No sympathy for Nani, he spends his time rolling around on the pitch and the one time have was hurt no one believed him. He needs to man up, Eduardo, Ramsey and Ben Arafa have all sustained leg breaks recently and none of them made the fuss that Nani did.
RiverRock
What Joe said. We all like the barely restrained hatred when those two meet up. Not approving of horror tackles though - not a surprise coming from a Gooner after what we have been through.
I do agree with RR though about Nani. He's pond slime imo. If he was so badly injured by Carraghers shocker of a tackle-it was just luck that he wasn't badly hurt btw- then how did he get to his feet, run up to Dowd, pull/push him and only feel the extent of the injury when it looked like he might be sent off??

we are living proof, being pretty isn't the all it's cracked up to be,
We'll know after Wednesday if this swings and roundabout of team selection pays off.

When we played 3 games in 8 days over Christmas, we used roughly the same players and got 9 points, We recently had 2 games in a month against relegation candidates,
yet rested players haven't delivered a win.
RZB
not a great performance but we got the win..........drogba did get a fair old whack from james 'pie man' beattie's knee in his side..........as for torres.......not overly concerned he hasn't scored yet.........he got in a few good positions but kalou was being greedy.. and thinking he was pele tried to do it on his own when a pass was the better option..

tbh i don't care who scores as long as we win and keep up a good run to finish top 4

Although there is still a long way to go i don't see Spurs overtaking Chelsea again.

The Brazilian connection - Ramires and Luis, look hungry, and plenty determined to go that extra yard. Great to see that Ramires has cemented the starting place on the right of midfield - and also to see Lampard back in top scoring form. Chelsea just need a strike combination to click and it could be a very interesting run-in.

3-1 might sound emphatic but it wasn't really. Blackpool were into us for the whole game they just never, ever stopped. CL place is our only target on that kind of form. We were sloppy and disjointed, pretty much all over the place particularly in defence. So yes, it's possible to get a 'lucky' 3-1 win.

Huge kudos to the Blackpool fans they never shut up for the whole game it's fantastic to see a crowd get behind their team like that. I really hope Blackpool stay up they bring a lot to the PL that you won't get from any other team.
Prometheus
They weren't really on top RR they were just completely up for it which is great to see and yes we were lucky they had four of their best players out. They're not an easy team to beat. Contrast and compare to Man City for example who actually played for a draw against us when they were at home (sorry Mincey).

We'll be out of the CL pronto though if we don't sort our bloody defence out.
Prometheus
United will be out of the CL this leg IMO. If Nani is out for it (I honestly don't see how he can be as he was able to walk out of Anfield) as United have one of the worst Midfields (bar Nani) in the Prem, Rooney and Berbs are playing shit. Unless Little pea (the shittest nickname in the world and even more fannishy putting it on the back of his jersey instead of his real name) saves the day as he has done so many time this year.

By jez I hate united.
RiverRock
Prom, do you think CA will drop Torres if his form doesn't improve (I am genuinely not taking the hand here) just been browsing the cfc forums and Chelsea fans are starting to get a bit irate with him and some suggesting other team members such as Drogba, Anelka and particularly Malouda have problems with him as Malouda especially never passes to him even if he is in a scorable position.
RiverRock
He can't drop him. Drogba was a disgrace to the shirt tonight. Malouda wouldn't pass to him but I suspect that was because Zhirkov got a start ahead of him and he wanted desperately to score to get back into the team. I can't believe Anelka has a problem with him Torres has been at his best for us playing with Anelka.

I can't believe he will be dropped to satisfy petulant primadonnas, if he is I will be livid.

What was the score?

Hart, Boyata (Boateng, 88), K Toure, Kompany, Zabaleta, De Jong, Barry, Y Toure, Milner, Silva (A Johnson, 78), Tevez (Adebayor, 86)

Hardly playing for a draw... the only games we looked like playing for a draw was against the Rags at home and Arsenal away. 6 attempts on target against Chelsea... 0 against Arsenal. If we parked the bus we wouldn't commit anyone forward, even Carlos who rarely entered Arsenals half. Against Chelsea we had Milner, Y.Toure, Silva and Tevez all getting forward. We are a defensive side, but we don't play for draws unless necessary

Hey guys LTNS

Mr Pie....(fellow footy fan in-peace)..I watched the City game, mainly because I have Silva in my Fantasy Footy team, I was incredibly frustrated with City lol, great on the ball, but why weren't they spreading the play?! they'd get all congested down one side and lose it after a dozen passes! Be interested to hear from someone who wacthes them alot There's alot at stake in fantasy footy As a city fan, you have to be happy with their position though

C'mon the Shakers!
Perones
Hi Perones... not seen you in a while

Recently, we don't really have any wingers... we have had Kolarov on the left and Silva in the centre. AJ injured and Milner is better as a box to box midfielder. I said this in Jan, we should of gone out and got a winger. I agree though that its frustrating, sometimes we knock it about but the opposition are happy to let us keep hold of possession if its in our half. Im happy with where we are in the table, but had we won the Birmingham, Fulham and Wolves game... we could well of been sat top of the league. We don't seem to be the only ones dropping points though.
MrMincePie
Cheers Mr Pie, ah of course, I was forgetting about AJ's injury. Agree about Milner, he can do a decent job on the wing, but yeah more a central mid I guess.
Hey rzb yup, Bury have been in this position before as you know. Knill's been very fair to Bury so far, but fear he'll b poached in the summer - bar a complete collapse. Hope he stays and builds though - Lowe's been amazing, broke a record scoring 8 or 9 on the trot, although one is being contested as an own goal lol. Bury never seem to have two strikers on form at the same time! if only Bishop of 2 seasons ago was banging them in also!
I hope you are wrong about Van Der Vaart having a secret long-term injury..i've stuck by him on my fantasy footy bench for weeks whilst he loses value!!
