darlo isn't from manchester dave!!......i expect he just said united cos everyone knows foster was at man utd.....and that also everyone knows darlo supports them so we'd know who he meant....
of course unfortunatley with you being stuck in the cave you wouldn't know and having just got into the game of football as well..all part of your footballing education though.....
If he's not from manchester then that makes it even worse. Its bad enough mancs calling them united and city, but inexcusable for someone not from there to refer to them like that. Its like someone from birmingham calling manchester city 'city' or someone from bristol calling blackburn rovers 'rovers'.. Ridiculous.
i just think it's how it is dave........a bit like newcastle united are always just referred to as newcastle or 'the toon'.........west ham united are just west ham an so on.......

that's totally different because 'newcastle' is unique to them as in they are the only club called newcastle and west ham are the only club called west ham. there are hundreds of uniteds, including those 2 you've just mentioned.
well i'm sure darlo didn't mean any harm dave..
It looks like Unitedgate has kicked off in here
Arsenal are going to be without Van Persie for the second leg against Barcelona I really hate Barcelona I'd love to see them dumped out by an English team but the second leg's going to be difficult for them without RVP.
Mincey what's going on with Hughes and Mancini? Did Hughes avoid the handshake with him at the end? He's done it before, very childish.

Not quite sure.
Something about Mancini not looking Hughes in the eye and shaking his hand in an arrogant way... apparently Hughes did the same to Mancini at Fulham and thats why he's done it. The camera changed and we only caught Hughes shouting at someone from the tunnel.
Motd may pick up on it... watching it now.
West Ham played well.

I'm watching it too. West Ham great value for their win. Suarez looks like he might be a bit handy.
He made a good cross that gave Johnson his goal, shame about the crap players around him.
Pity Arsenal have such a terrible keeper as they would have had a much better season with a better keeper.
Won't be hearing from Szczesny for a while... it was only last week he was taking the piss out of Ashley Cole on twitter for his penalty miss He's getting some right grief on twitter now after that howler.
LOL no eye contact from Mancini during the handshake, Hughes took offense. Handbags at dawn
Trust Hughes to go ott over nothing... did the same to Pulis
Unbelievable elbow by Rooney please don't let him get away with that. Fergie: 'The press will hang him out to dry' and so they bloody should you red-nosed twonk!
Il be amazed if he walks away without any punishment... David Bernstein is a City fan He'll have the bar steward executed.
So, Chelsea, Man City and Spurs fighting it out for 3rd and 4th. It's not as simple as it sounds. City could finish 4th and still lose out on a CL place if either we or Spurs win the CL and finish 5th which means we get automatic qualification.
I think realistically it's a race for 3rd to be sure of CL football next year. It's going to be a hell of a run-in whatever happens.

This is new to me, Is it the norm to have guns in the changing rooms Their front page? Ashley Cole accidentally shoots someone with an airgun.
Turdbags.
The NOTW are never going lead with the above stories sadly, but I'm amazed how you get an accident involving a gun in the locker room.

"In a world full of United's, City's and Rovers, there is only One Hotspur."
FA: Rooney to face no action over incident with James McCarthy in game at Wigan
Unbelievable...
Unbelievable...
seconded meaty.........i was listening to kevin keegan on 5live.......he was almost justifying rooney's behaviour saying....'i look at both sides and mcarthy was trying to foul him,get in his way'......then added something along the lines that 'we continually hope wayne will get this out of his game'.......then the real pathetic part......'but he's a young man...still learning'........
now i'm sorry but worra pile of dogshite!!.........wayne rooney is 26 this year....he's been playing top level football since he was 17.......he's a married man with a kid.....he's not 'still learning' at all......what it is is he's got a nasty temper that he displays too often...either screeching at people..chasing them round the pitch to foul them...or elbowing people..........he behaved anywhere else like that he'd be in deep bother.......and the reason he 'doesn't learn' is cos he's always allowed to get away with it....

Sorry Dave Was In A Cave if i've offended you.
Rooney lucky indeed to not get sent off or banned over the elbowing incident, undefendable and he never learns...
Arsenal not too chuffed with the slap to Koscielny's head when Martins scored... I said this to my brother when it happened, I would be fuming had it been my side.
I may be going a bit OTT here but elbowing someone in the face is common assault. How in hell are footballers exempt from the laws that govern the rest of us?
exactly my point earlier prom..........if he behaved like that anywhere else he'd be in the deep pile........but there's loads of cases where you think wtf?......prime example roy keane...he planned that career ending injury to alf inge haaland........he talks about it in his book.............he deliberately set out to injure him.....it was.pre-meditated.yet he got nothing except a football ban
as for the birmingham player v arsenal.....yep proper annoying.......i remember years ago when liverpool played forest in the cup semi final........a forest player scored an own goal and john aldridge went and ruffled his hair

Enjoy Spongey, I tell you what' it's bloody freezing here today.
I'd imagine the FA might have done something with Rooney had Clattenburg not insisted he 'dealt with it sufficiently' at the time.
The FA cause the problem by saying the referee's word is final, which doesn't really work other than with sports where officials are given extra help through technology. In cricket or whatever, they can take the time to review the footage, and thus can make an effective final decision that we can all agree with and respect.
Here we're supposed to support and respect whatever crazy justification the officials may have for their decisions, because the powers that be are too spineless to make a change for the better. Especially when you can have a replay of any incident from 47 different angles within seconds of the incident occurring, which is nothing compared to how long it takes teams to celebrate goals, make substitutions, get set for corners/free kicks, etc, etc, etc....
But no, it would slow the game down.

I'm hoping to get back home in time to catch the bus for the game! The trains are running late! After the QPR debacle we play Forest tonight!

Not sure who I would rather see win tonight Brain says the Rags but heart says Chelsea.... a draw would do nicely.

I'd guess United would be happy to avoid defeat. A point don't help Chelsea much, I think Chelsea for the win, Don't think it would help any club other than Arsenal winning the league.
A Chelsea win or a draw and il be happy

3 - 1 Chelsea please.

You've picked up on this football malarky very quickly Dave.
i know im not really all that clued up on footy, but i know a little bit now and im dont know how chelsea won the league title last season. Its like watching a team of school kids being given the runaround by a team of hungover uni students who are good, but not quite as good as they think they are.
