Neil Ashton: "Big, big story about an England player in tomorrow's News of the World, made it on front and back page."

Rumours knocking about that its something to do with Ashley Cole...  the last time they said "big story" is was another f*cking article about Inter going after Bale

Edit:

"ENGLAND ace Ashley Cole shot and wounded a 21-year-old student with a high-powered rifle at Chelsea's training ground."

It was a member of Chelsea's sports science team and also a fan.

Daniel Sturridge:

4 goals in 4 Premier League matches for Bolton so far.

Can someone explain to me why Chelsea did not give him a start in any League game pre-transfer window, this season? Yes, they had a cracking start from the first 6 games; but when mediocrity set in; why was he not given a bigger opportunity?

Hopefully if either Drogba or Anelka (or Kalou?) leave at the end of this season a better chance will come his way...

Wrong... its quite clear that McCarthy headbutted Rooneys elbow. 2 match ban and a hefty fine for McCarthy
This reminded me of the Alan Shearer/Neil Lennon incident when it was decided on having been face to boot - rather than vice versa, and the (then) England captain was cleared.

He's had plenty of starts and hasn't impressed due to being far too eager to the point he refused to pass and kept shooting randomly when he was anywhere near the oppo goal. He doesn't have the same pressure at Bolton, he's not fighting for a first team place. He's relaxed and enjoying his football. hopefully when he comes back he'll have matured a little and will handle the pressure of competition with world class strikers a bit better.

He didn't have any starts in the PL for Chelsea this season. That included a spell with just 2 wins out of 10 matches and Anelka failing to score throughout the same period. If he was considered good enough to make the starting squad for almost every game; i'm a little puzzled that he wasn't given at least one start.

Although it can be easy to look at these things with the benefit of hindsight - and i don't actually recall anyone crying out for Ancelotti to start him - i just wonder if a little more adventurousness could have been used regarding team selection at times.

As you say - hopefully next season he will make an impression.

Sorry I meant he's had his chances you're right he hasn't actually started games but like Kakuta when he plays for us he tries way too hard. He's scoring now because he's relaxed and he's scoring against PL opposition which is excellent for him (and for us).

West Ham v Liverpool is a great game. West Ham aren't giving them any room and are well up for it. Gerrard is reminding his players of The Liverpool Way by diving all over the West Ham penalty area. The ref isn't having any of it and as Sky commentators have said Gerrard should have been booked twice for diving and been sent off but he gets away with it every week so no change there.

It was an entertaining game though. Even though I backed Liverpool at 3/1 win/win I still enjoyed it. By the look of Gerard's midriff, he doesn't have any fire  in the belly, but he may have had a lot of beer in there.

You say united like theres no other football team in the world who have united in their name. i know you're from manchester and in manchester theres only one united - well technically 2 (yes ive been doing my research) but outside of your cocoon that is manchester there are loads more uniteds.
