We also got a game later this evening at 8:00pm against NY Redbulls on ESPN.
That's my football sorted for tonight then!  Thanks Mr Meat. Any more matches on ESPN of yours coming up as I'm basically too lazy to  check my programme guide on Sky!

I will certainly look out for you La Veggie   Looking forward to watching it. As you know I like to watch Arsenal play and the matches featured should be really good.  Yes agreed about the Vuvuzuelas (sp), my hearing is not good, but I have a condition that means something at "normal" sound levels can be extremely irriating to me, so the thought of sitting next to someone blowing one of those things for 90 minutes + would DEFINITELY make me commit some sort of hurt on the person concerned!  In fact they would be attending A&E with a Vuvuzuela (sp) in a part of their body it was not designed for!!

Darlo, suppose the Man Utd match is on MUTV?  Which I don't subscribe to and therefore won't be able to watch (!).  Will have to check Liverpool TV and see if any pre~season is on there, anything for some footy!  Hope you are enjoying your summer and not panicking already about results.  Are you back at college in September?

Lescott... OG earlier, also pissed up last game. We need to get rid of him quickly
Bet the Everton faithful will be laughing at that.

I'm off to the Emirates again today, really pleased with our performance on the whole yesterday. Chamakh and Koscielny were excellent, Flappy was in the wrong position for the goal we conceded.

Nice to see Flamini back too, he got a really good welcome but predictable panto boos while he was on the pitch.
Saw Beckham with his kids - no sign of the wife but then she could have been standing sideways I suppose

Been busy for the last few days but am really looking forward to the new season, even got the countdown on my home screen!

Thanks Mr Meat, don't know if you saw my thread but you reminded me to check Auto Trader and on Monday I brought a Y reg Corsa off Auto Trader ~ it's lovely and I can't stop driving at the moment.  May go to the final friendly on Saturday, then watching ESPN next week for the Chelsea match.

Looking forward to the Championship matches this weekend as well ~ footy's nearly back!!!

Bump indeed!
It's been a hard few weeks since the World Cup but normal service renews on Saturday.
The  interesting and amusing items have featured an increasingly baffled SAF as he seeks to protect Rooney from the coming period of abuse. (see also Terry et al.) He also had a few daft things  to say about their supporters not being so critical of the financial arrangements. Apparently everyone borrows to buy and goes into debt. I wish I had known! We could have bought 'em and just paid ourselves half a megapoond a year. A win-win situation.
Elsewhere, it looks like Holland have ruined one of the cheating Bavarians' best players.

Lost 3-1 to Borussia Dortmand...

Kolarov - Looked the real deal, some dangerous crosses and very skillful player (one to certainly stick in your fantasy teams). Nice to have a LB that can use both feet...

Barry - F*ck knows where he is... made a pointless slide tackle that gave away a penalty.

Y.Toure - The only player on the pitch that wanted to go forward... like Kolarov, is dangerous when given the ball and if there is space... he will use it.

Adebayor - Great when it comes to finishing... but spends most time out wide and has the touch of a rapist.

Hart - Saved a penalty and great when dealing with set pieces... he will prob go out on loan again this season. Given is the better shot-stopper.

Santa Cruz - Like an old woman with a zimmer frame.

Jo - Strange one really... hes played well in each pre-season game. I think Mancini may even give him a chance this year.

Mancini better hope that we get the whole team together for this saturday against Valencia, season starts next week and some of the players have not even met each other yet. We could be in deep trouble next week.

Also, at the end of the game only Bellamy went over to applaud the fans... apparently it looked like a 'goodbye' applaud according to the media and some blues (I have no idea what the difference is between a goodbye one and a normal one).

I'm off to the Dominican Repulblic on Sunday, I'll miss the first game of the season @ home to City, but back for the C/L game. I usally miss the first few games.
You can prob get stream on internet for the spurs v city game. I did last season for most games. Il be driving down to london next week in early hours.

Wasnt cheap tickets either... Β£45, prices keep going up now. Even City have made changes... ticket prices for away fans visiting COMS were cheap last year, but now our club has raised prices to something around Β£40-50.

Oh well, two hours and counting before football kicks off again!

Cec Fabregas is staying at Arsenal, he apologises for the delay in announcing this to fans ~ good news, I feel Arsenal would have missed him this coming season.

I also see that Jay Simpson is in talks with a couple of Championship clubs, shame I would have liked to see him come to us http://www.skysports.com/story...1670_6297297,00.html

And in Baggie news, rumour has it we are about to sign Nicky Shorey from Villa

Good luck to everyone's teams both this weekend and next weekend (apart from Chelsea!), is it so wrong that much as I like Frank Lampard, he twists his ankle just slightly next week on England duty and can't play against us!!!
