Nice goal, but shame about the offy
Glen Johnson
Wilshere looking good in midfield, looks comfortable already midfielder and got years ahead of him. Lampard goal would of been peach... bit of a kick in the bollox that it was offside.

Hi Pam xx
Yeah it's not exactly filled with excitement but it's not the worst match I've seen.
I see Bendtner still can't hit a barn door with a banjo! he'll probably score now

LOL. And you wanted us to bid for him!
Rooney still looking a shadow of his former self... what on earth was he thinking trying to slot it, years ago he would simply put some power into it.

*walks off whistling nonchalently while looking at the sky*
Some woman in front of me at the Ipswich game was giving Bendtner heaps, screaming at Le Boss to sub him and then he went and scored!!
Meaty - yeah JW is looking good. We love him at Arsenal totally

Ain't gonna happen (I hope)

I'm glad that JW has been taken off - we can't afford to let him get an injury, especially for a friendly

I didn't see the goals, but the keeper seems to have done well

Nice one Ash

Well done Scotland winning 3-0. Hard luck to N. Ireland.
I saw on the BBC results that one game - I think it was Estonia v another eastern European side had finished 2-2 and all four goals were penalties! Wonder what the odds were on that?

According to the Beeb... West Ham have secured the Olympic Stadium.

Dunno what to make of it tbh... likeable club with proper football fans, but giving a state of the art 80,000 seater to them? They won't even fill a quarter of the ground. At least there is no excuses for giving us a huge away allocation.

Highs from tonight's completely pointless friendly: Wilshere looks great. Lows: Glen Johnson, worst defender of all time, ever. He can run down the wing though which I suppose is all that matters...

Good news for us, 43.8% increase in revenue (Β£125.1m from Β£87m)... fastest growing club in the world.
The Sun also posted it... but decided to put a spin on it to get the rags fans hopes up "United richer than City"

Does it really matter mate? Footy is unrecognisable now compared to what it was when I was a kid. It used to be all about dreams now it's just money. You have a good enough squad to win the league you just have a shit manager. Mancini will be gone in the summer.

Not really... but it gives me a chuckle to see the jelousy from other fans over our financial backing. And I can't see Mancini gone in the summer unless he misses out on the top four.

I know that feeling . I've supported Chelsea all my life and apart from when I was 8 years old they were shit . I never thought we'd win the league in my lifetime. I paid my time I think I deserve it and so do City. It doesn't have to be all about Liverpool, Man U and Arsenal all the bloody time
GMP have banned us from having flags/banners at the derby... yet their allowed that huge 34 years banner
You couldn't make it up.
You couldn't make it up.
I thought the match was boring, the friendlies are pointless, glad England won though!
Apologies for long post on the other page.
.ο»ΏRolls eyes in sympathy with the above posts...
I notice that United are favourites in the (yet another) Lancashire derby. Should be a great game!
Staying at my parents house for tonight... gives me abit of a lie-in tomorrow morning and easier to get to the ground
Bit nervous, better than having to sit at home and watch it on tv though

It will be a great experience Mr Pie. Good luck to you! I hope that you have a wonderful day.
Meanwhile I have persuaded Mrs Jer to come with me to the game. She hadn't been to a football match for about 30 years but will use wor son's ticket! (celebrating his Birthday in that Damm place)
Good luck Meaty. I'm hoping United win tomorrow (sorry) as we're just about out of it for anything but a CL place but if you beat them I really won't be too upset
I can't believe i'm about to say this but .... I hope Man Utd win today as Chelsea have pissed away any chance of winning the league.
I'm hoping for a draw... plus suspensions, injuries and a mass brawl resulting in a points deduction for both clubs.
lmao
City dominated the first half and played some nice football... but United go in at half-time a goal to the good!
Sky commentators are raving about Silva who has done sod all apart from missing a sitter. Nani's been sensational.
Just arrived at the ground!
Brilliant goal by Rooney but Mike Summerbee in the after match chat...what an arse!
Lol
I think Mikes bitterness went well with Dwights sugary tones
"We had more possession, more chances and we were the better team and you keep going on about Rooneys 'tap-in'"
Erm....no you weren't Mikey.

I liked that he said they had at least 60% of the possession and then when showed that match stats which was 54/46% to Utd, he snapped 'I'm not interested in statistics!'
What a goal from Rooney, much better game than the one at COMS.. both teams had their chances and I thought Silva/Kompany were City's best players. Giggs/Nani were my man of the match for United.
City will still get a Champions League spot anyway and will challenge for the league at some point...
WBA 3-0 up against West Ham woo hoo.

Dominated the game, failed to take our chances though. I think even if we lost out on CL qualification this season, getting rid of Mancini will be an error. Its all more to do with mentality, if we sack him then we end up starting all over again... new players and taking months to fit in.
We will let the tourists enjoy their moment I don't believe in the Rooney hype/w*nkfest either... decent goal, but still too inconsistant. He will go missing again next week.
Mike Sumerbee bitter? He's right in what he was saying... Redknapp and Yorke were talking as though there was only one team on the field. Its the same every derby. F*cking pair of muppets.. makes me cringe this whole "Wazza" stuff It was only at half time the fans were saying how sh*te he was and that they want Hernandez on. Suddenly the white pele again.
Slightly annoyed we didnt play like that at Eastlands...

Rooney still isn't back to his best yet but he's getting there.. he does work hard and contribute to assists, tracking back etc.
Meaty I was impressed by Micah Richards again, do you think City need a RB in the summer?
