Fabregas is a whingebag - I wish he'd cut it out. Eboue is a diver - he also needs to cut it out.
And I can tell anyone in this thread that the Arsenal fans give them grief about it coz we don't like it.
But as to whether Cesc verbally abused officials or not - I'd take AWs word over Moyes any day and the officials on Tuesday night should thank their lucky stars that I wasn't in the tunnel at half time because I'd have stuck one on them.
And Gary Neville is still a see you next Tuesday. We will never forget what he did to Reyes.

I've obviously missed something. I never picked up on any dislike for Neville. When I think of all the people who have been roundly abused at Ayresome/riverside he doesn't figure.

You not seen him during the manchester derbys? He's more arsed about provoking the fans then the actual game. I can't think of one derby where he hasnt got in the fans faces.

I read in a newspaper a few years ago, that football fans being as fickle as they are (if a player is off form etc or playing bad) they slag them even if they are their own players. The reason Neville is still loved by United is because he does nothing but slabber about Liverpool or City to anyone who will listen. The man is a bellend of the highest order.

I don't think anyone outside United has a positive word to say about the little rat.

Would it f*ck I never have rated him as a player and never will... it was laughable on MOTD the other day.

"Best RB the Premiership has ever seen"

I remember one time at Maine Road (think it was 2000) he was dishing it out to the fans... surrounded by hundreds of stewards. When one physco managed to get over the side he absolutely shat himself. Hate the cnut with a passion and couldn't care less what happened to him... he's up there with Roy Keane. And I won't even bother starting on that tw*t
MrMincePie
I'm totally with Meaty on this one Croc. Some of the Arsenal fans were reminiscing about his horror tackle on Reyes and how, when Viera went after him in the tunnel for it, he ran crying to Roy Keane like the coward he is.

Would I have wanted him in my team? Not a chance.
And 'best RB in the PL'? Not a patch on Lee Dixon or Baccary Sagna in my book

"I was not surprised about what happened with Fernando," Mascherano was quoted as saying by ESPN.

"When I left Liverpool, it looked as if I killed someone. It is sad that the people who did something important with the club have to leave by the back door. It is sad that the press and the club try to convince people that it is all the player's fault when the reality is that Liverpool didn't show the interest in keeping us in the club.''

"The most important players didn't leave the club well. I spoke with Fernando and I said to him that he doesn't have to be worried because he did his best for the club. Even though he didn't win any trophies, he was a very important player and helped this club all the time."
MrMincePie
Both Mascherano and Torres were both there in presence only their last few months before they left and they were both walking around with their bottom lips trailing on the ground, always complaining- never happy and getting paid handsomely for it as well. The only thing that can make things happen is the players so I hate when these footballers complain they don't win anything, if you'd try a bit bloody harder you might instead of effing complaining all the time.

As for the comments about 'killing someone' only players who treat the fans who pay to see them like shit get a rough deal leaving Anfield, Alonso, Babel, Hyppia all left Anfield lately and all 3 are regarded highly by Liverpool fans for the gratitude and respect they showed their fans. They didn't act like slimeballs in the way Torres and Mascherano did.

The football club owes these guys nothing, the fans owe them nothing, they went every week paying a large portion of their wages to see their team play and win. Not to see a group of prima donna bitches complain because they are only getting Β£80k a week.

I am not referring to just Liverpool players here, I mean all footballers. Some of them seem to leave their manners on the doorstep.

Well! In conclusion, I've been going to games since the sixties, I've written for a couple of fanzines, and thought that I had my finger on the pulse, but I never picked up on the anti Gary Neville stuff. I suppose fans of individual teams have their own targets. I can only remember three Manchester U players who have been given a rough ride.

You've all got me wondering now! I know that last season, when I said that Andy Carroll looked rather special, my fellow smoggies looked astounded as though I'd committed some sort of sin. Am I the only one who can show appreciation for players of other clubs that I shouldn't ought to? Apart from Gary Neville, I have liked Gordon McQueen, Pat Nevin, Graham LeSaux, Alan Shearer, Patrick Vierra, and the best of all Eric Cantona(I wore his philosophy shirt with pride until it fell to bits!)

I can admire players with talent who play in the right way. A fair proportion of them whinge too much and fall over too easily but are still players you can admire.I quite like a lot of the Everton team, Blackpool team etc.Messi destroyed us in the CL last season but I still love to see him play. Gareth Bale, Ryan Giggs, Luca Modrich, Scotty Parker, Piquionne etc etc. are also players I admire for various reasons.

In fact, there are far more players/teams/managers I admire or like or respect than the opposite.

Totally agree with you there Disley - feel sorry for them.  Just been listening to Talksport - he was supposed to me giving them an interview and because they kept him waiting 60 seconds, he put the phone down.  Anyway, they've texted him since thinking maybe the line went down but apparently the exchange of texts was not particularly friendly.

Dear old Gary showing his total ineptitude at PR again ...

Thank God for lovely, friendly Owen

it's all being built up prom...........you've got the likes of thompson and even robbie fowler chipping in saying how awful it is torres went.......then the ever so ott liverpool fans who want his legs broken, burning shirts etc.........it's ridiculous..

i think torres was unhappy for a long time.......promises made by the club weren't seemingly kept...he has ambition and has moved to a club he thinks can match his personal goals.......that coupled with more dosh..of course he's going to leave...

honestly the way some are carrying on it's like he's ian huntley or fred west...a bit of perspective is needed.....he's only a bloody footballer!!

all this crap about 'we thought he was one of us'.......he played at liverpool for 3 and a half years.....he left his boyhood club to achieve his dream (a fact most liverpool fans seem to gloss over)  he isn't a scouser.he hasn't been there since he was a kid...it didn't work out..he left..simple as........

and he's done nothing andy carroll hasn't done to newcastle......a fact some pool fans are completely overlooking

players come in and players go..that's football..they need to get over it and quit whinging
SS
Much as I'd like to see King Kenny AKA Scouse Messiah of the moment fall flat on his face, I really hope Red Scouse win on Sunday.
Coz I know how I felt when Chelsea tapped up Cashley and got him. Leaves a really bad taste in yer gob.
Might be a radical thought but perhaps Chelsea could try bringing players through their academy rather than just buying the result of years and years of other clubs hard work .
And no, I'm not talking about Torres there just the principle
