My second team in the PL would be Newcastle, I think they are very similar to Liverpool. This year I would like Arsenal to win the PL and I also have a great deal of admiration for Spurs. Can't abide how Man City have turned football into a money game, as much as I hate the Mancs (Reds) you have to respect how they have be at the top for years despite often having a relatively average team (player by player)

Hold on... United have done no different to what we are doing. If you look at their past decades ago, they also had a big financial backing. When United were threatened by bankruptcy, Brewer JJ Davies came in and provided funds... at that time they were known at "moneybags United". Football became a £4 million a year industry in the 1940s. Old Trafford was rebuilt and in 1948 Manchester United was valued at £100,000. The team Busby assembled that year cost £7,750 in transfer (signing) fees... which was big money at the time, the only difference between United and City is that prices for players have inflated.

And we were not the ones who just went and spent £35mil on Andy Carroll....

Not looking good for Micah, had a nasty freak accident with Nige Hope he's alright anyway, went off in a neck brace.

Looking good so far... cracking free kick from Kolarov, just curled its way into the net. Not sure how we conceeded. Got to laugh at Zigic Stolen a career in football and is now stealing goals... no one knows how he could of got it as he was no where near the ball but everyone assumes he scored as he went to celebrate on his own with a knee slide

Not sure if we will hold on to the lead in second half

Sprout, did you read how long Carroll was supposed to be out for? I heard when at Newcastle he would be fit for 5th of Feb but Kenny says he's a few weeks off...I have a funny feeling Carroll might be on the bench for Sunday. Hope to god he is!

Really excited about Sunday now, both teams are doing well after both having a very poor run of form.

I genuinely think it is hard to call Sunday, remember when City played Chelsea after the animosity towards Terry?  Its hard to know what will happen, Suarez looks the ticket, Gerrard and Kuyt were great tonight, Agger and Soto were brilliant defensively and Lucas is starting to come into his own. What do you think Prom?

Ps. Lets agree not to fall out

Good old bluemoon forum

Everyones there discussing how sh*te Vieira was... one clown decides to come along and defend him, after hours of him lecturing us on Vieiras "ability". He said he didnt watch the game at St Andrews last night.

You couldn't make it up.
MrMincePie
I don't know River. I'm hoping Torres doesn't start. He's going to get serious abuse. I'm hoping he's on the bench and comes on if we need him though I'm hoping we won't. We've turned a corner but haven't been very convincing while doing it. You've got Dalglish firing up the crowd and the players. Very hard to call.

I don't think we'll lose. I can see a 2-2 draw for some reason. And nope, we won't fall out

He's not a goalscorer but he was amazing when he was at Arsenal. You bring on players like that to calm other players down and influence them on the pitch. Obviously he didn't but I can see the logic behind it. Look at Giggs and Scholes at Man U, still a MASSIVE influence on that team despite playing well beyond most normal playing careers.

I just don't think the 'team' ethic is something Mancini understands at all. If Mourinho had your players he would win everything in sight year after year.

Yes think one of the best things in Liverpool's Arsenal is Jamie Carragher, I think they didn't start him tonight because he will literally be chomping at the bit come Sunday! Torres if he does play needs to man up a bit, the last while he has done nothing but bitch at the referee or give up if he loses the ball etc. Maybe being at Chelsea will change that. IMO Anelka is in brilliant form atm for you and he doesn't deserve to be droppped.

He was played behind the front two against Sunderland and had freedom to show his skill. If he plays behind Drogba and Torres you might have a problem assuming Drogba can be arsed and doesn't start falling all over the place like a tart. I love him but could kill him sometimes.

It will be a great game however it turns out

The tw*t will be doing a "lap of honour" at the Manchester derby next week.... he will be getting a whole lot of abuse when he walks round our corner

Slightly concerned about the outcome, no wingers... only Silva and Milner are available. Silva is better played behind Tevez/Dzeko and Milner is a box to box midfielder, whenever played on the wing he's totally useless. I can see us trying to park the bus and getting everyone behind the ball. Its virtually impossible to go to the swamp and not conceed.

Here we have something amusing that's been doing the rounds on Bolton forums today...

Am I a £35m striker?

I scored 24 goals helping my side win promotion back to the Premier League aged just 22.

In my first season in the top flight I had 15 goals by the end of January. Including a goal against the reigning champions, and away at Arsenal and in a home win vs Liverpool.

My form earned me an England call-up and debut in a friendly.

Am I a £35m striker?

No I am Michael Ricketts, February 2002.

At least I predicted one transfer right abroad, I signed Giampolo Pazzini to Inter Milan on my FIFA 11 Manager Mode and the week after he joined them in real life.

Some opposition fans will of course be delighted about Gary Neville retiring but whatever yuo think he was a loyal player to United, he wasn't the most gifted player although he had a good period in his career where he was consistent but it did catch up with him these last couple of seasons because of how long he was there.

Veggie I hope Vela chips in with the goals to hopefully keep West Brom up.

Manchester City and Celtic will complete the high-profile line-up alongside reigning European champions Inter Milan and an Airtricity League XI for the inaugural Dublin Super Cup to be played at the Aviva Stadium in July.

The Italian giants were already confirmed for the new two-day tournament (July 30th-31st) with the involvement of Man City and Celtic rubber-stamped at an official announcement at the Dublin venue today.
