yeah ashley's not popular is he?!!!.......all very strange.......and as much as liverpool fans say they thought torres was 'one of them'..i think for newcastle fans it's worse.....a lad born in newcastle...been with the club since he was a young kid.....got his number 9 shirt......then buggered off.

i doubt if we'll ever get the truth behind either carroll or torres' real reasons for leaving their respective clubs........

though i did like one quip i saw from a newcastle fan.........'why haven't liverpool bought kevin nolan too?.carroll has to live at his house!'...

Everton boss David Moyes: "The comments which Cesc Fabregas made to the fourth official and referee at half time deserved a sending off. He's a big player for them. I think it changed the flow of the game. I'm not going to repeat what he said, I'll let them tell you what he said. Anyway, it's a results business we are in and we need to get some results... but I don't think anyone would go away from this game thinking Everton didn't deserve to get a result."

I suppose if they were a real fan they would know that Carroll only had to live at his house until the court case which was dropped due to lack of evidence...

On the Torres front v Carroll front compare Carroll's statements compared to Torresm Carrol said he loved the club etc Torres just shat all over Liverpool.

(I see US Government are now cracking down on illegal football livestream sites... surprised they didnt anything about it years ago. Alot of the sites are going down as we speak)

It was only last Sunday i was sent a link for one of these sites from a mate in the US, worked Sunday, Under investigation last night. That was short lived, but exlpains why it wasn't up and running last night

Well done on the bet last night Joe - nice one.

depends which way you look at it r.r.......i've read an interview where torres says he has 'nothing bad to say about liverpool'..whereas carroll claims he 'didn't want to leave newcastle at all and was forced out'.........now he could be saying that to appease the newcastle fans......in which case that makes him just as much of a 'liar' as torres who said a few weeks back he wouldn't leave liverpool'......if he isn't lying then you've signed a player who doesn't want to be at liverpool at all and wants to be at newcastle......

it was all over the press in the north east the very day carroll signed for liverpool that he was 'going nowhere and wanted to stay'........8 hours or so later he did leave.......so he's shat on newcastle just as much as torres did with liverpool...if you want to think that way of course

He could have been dignified about it. What makes Chelsea such a big club anyway Prom? Your plastic flags that you hand out?
No plastic flags here I've supported Chelsea all my life even when we were awful for just as long as you currently have been. How long have you supported Liverpool RR? Been to any games lately? I'm guessing you live and work in Liverpool you're not one of those 'plastic' scousers are you?

Big club: won premier league titles in recent years including the double last season.
Small club: haven't won the league in so many years nobody can remember when they last won it except desperate Liverpool fans bleating on endlessly about 'history'.

I live in Ireland and I have try to get over every couple of months actually. Its not cheap but I do try to get over as much as possible. I've supported Liverpool all my days actually, not easy when the rest of your family support the mancs... If you are a grass roots fan then I certainly applaud and respect you. Its those plastic Chelsea fan who have only started supporting since Roman took over- that's what's wrong with football today.

I'll certainly agree with that. We have more than our fair share of them. We went through a phase of winning 5-0 then when that stopped the sound of toys being removed from prams by glory-hunting Chelsea 'fans' could be heard all across London. It says everything to me that our away support always makes a lot more noise than our home support.

Sorry if this thread went a bit pear-shaped I was fuming at Thompson's unnecessary and deeply  insulting remarks towards Chelsea on Sky last night if that had been an ex-Chelsea player attacking Liverpool that way I would have felt ashamed.

you get glory hunters for every successful team

True, but ours seem to be more vocal than others. The biggest collection of spoiled 'I want it now' brats ever can be found on the official Chelsea Chat site. It would be hilarious in a way if we slipped down to the Championship just to see them all scramble off to Man U and Arsenal. I expect City get a lot of it these days too.

Out of interest other than your own team, what team would you like to see do well?

My second team in the PL would be Newcastle, I think they are very similar to Liverpool. This year I would like Arsenal to win the PL and I also have a great deal of admiration for Spurs. Can't abide how Man City have turned football into a money game, as much as I hate the Mancs (Reds) you have to respect how they have be at the top for years despite often having a relatively average team (player by player)

We're probably better at greasing the wheels and pleasing everybody in the Top Right. We also have a better sense of realism. If some daft arsehole pays 50 megapoond for Torres, thus allowing some other daft arsehole to give the toon 35 megapoond, everyone's happy. Assuming that Ashley one really means it when he says pardew can spend it.
