LOL at Torres then because Chelsea have never made one stamp on a European Cup
He's talking about a team who are currently a BIG team not one that used to be about 30 years ago and all their fans are still bleating on about it wildly deluded that they haven't been anything other than a fringe team for decades. I think he'd rather play for last years double winners than chat about 'the good old days' at Liverpool.

Liverpool remain the most successful English team.

Yes if you delve way back into past history, 'history' being their favourite word. They cheated for their last CL win too but hey who cares. Liverpool fans are by far the most deluded in football history (there's that word again). They've been crap forever but still they somehow feel entitled to success just because they're Liverpool. You couldn't make it up, really.

Liverpool last got to a CL final in 07 (winning it 2 years prior), Chelsea got there in 08, Liverpool came 2nd in the PL of 2008/09 Chelsea won 09/10. The last few years the two clubs haven't been as separated as you think.

Realistically the last couple of years have been shit for us. Currently we are 9 points of Chelsea that's 3 wins. I wouldn't be getting so cock sure about Chelseas becoming the biggest force in the country.

I don't think anyone can simply dismiss a teams history... its what clubs set out to achieve, win trophies. The fans can boast about it all they like, but to the player its a different story... you could win 20 league titles, 7 Champions League trophies and it still means nothing to them... not all those trophies can go with his name, whats he won in his 3-4 years with the club? Champions league... and the club has slowly declined. The players will move to a club which has a bright future ahead of it and thats the problem with Liverpool at the moment... theres no sign of Liverpool being a great team in the years to come. Im sure Liverpool will be back knocking on the top four soon enough, but the past few years have been a big step back for them.

Torres has looked fed up from the start of the season... the media were pointing the finger at him and asking whats happened to Fernando Torres. Il tell you whats happened, the quality at Liverpool has dropped... look at the shower of sh*te surrounding him. Lone striker and the only decent player around him is Gerrard who seems to have injury problems.

I'm not. That's the difference between Chelsea fans and Liverpool fans we don't feel any entitlement to win anything at all, ever. City have bigger spending power than us. Man United currently have a better team than us. You wrote off United as having average players before, missing the point that they have the best 'team' in the PL. And Arsenal are looking better than they have for years. Torres and Luiz will give us a chance to compete again.

Good luck with Suarez and Carroll in a team that's largely crap, you're going to need it.
