And not a second too soon!
It's quite telling that Ferraira has been a starter this season in the 3 games that Chelsea have conceded 3 goals in, and on the occasion that they shipped 4! With Luiz able to play anywhere across the defence and Alex due back soon, hopefully the defence will return to being as tight as we have become accustomed too.

some still saying they want carragher to break his legs on sunday.......and how torres will regret leaving 'the biggest club in english football'.........there's also a rather nasty comment hoping something vile happens to torres' wife

Again a very small minority, you going to get cnuts in any group of fans. IMO the best thing to do is ignore him when they play Chelsea, show disappoint more so than anger.

Also, I do believe moving to Chelsea will be the biggest mistake of his career, Liverpool fans loved Torres, he was going down in Liverpool history as one of the biggest legends ever at the club. He said 2 weeks ago he loved the club and was committed to the club. Can say their anger is justified.

As I said before:
Anelka, Drogba, Cole, Lampard, Terry Malouda all 30 or more, Essien is 28.

Realistically they have 1-2 years tops to win the CL, They are not guaranteed CL status next year, so it is a pretty big gamble. In my opinion what hurts the most for LP fans is when he done it and where he chose to go.

See Chelsea have already their Wiki page changd as Fernando Torres #9, Liverpools page still states Fernando Torres #9...

i get what you're saying r.r.....but we as fans have to be realistic...we've all seen it...players kissing the badge one week...2 weeks later they're off......they (in general) don't care as deeply for the club as supporters do.

and i'm sorry but i don't accept that anyone should be so angry about a footballer that they hope his wife gets raped and he ends up in a wheelchair.........that's just sick

And Rooney? Jesus christ
Drogba has won games for us singlehandedly for us too when he's on form. He seems to have reverted to the Drogba of three years ago. It's maddening. Rooney? No idea what's going on there. He looked like he was going to hit form again for a while but Berbatov has taken over from him as their most prolific. Weird as hell.

You forgot Torres who has often had no choice but to win games on his own for Liverpool given that the rest of them do fekk all most of the time

Can you please stop quoting that shit SS, there are a small minority of b*astards in every fanbase. Thats not what I or the majority of Liverpool fans feels like. I am absolutley f*cking seething that Torres wants to go to Chelsea of all Clubs. But I would never ever wish ill on anyone or their family, only thing I wish on Torres is a poor run of form (or a continued poor run of form should I say).

lol. Why do you think Roman just spent 70 mil in a January transfer window? He knows time is up for some of our players and he's doing something about it. Liverpool won't have anywhere near the spending power we have in the summer and even with Torres you were looking like relegation candidates for a while. Suarez and Carrol aren't going to bring you CL football.

We will see. Look at United they are top of the table with what is a pretty average team. Anything is possible.

i never said you felt like that r.r.........i'm talking about the absolute hysteria over a footballer......i'm under no illusions why he's come to us.......it's for money and the chance(he believes) to win medals......this whole 'we thought he was one of us' stuff just doesn't happen..........look at rooney....slagged off utd and their ambition...next he's signing a new contract after 'realising alex ferguson was right' and 'he was sorry'............the only thing rooney realised was right was the extra 0's on his monthly pay packet..

I'm more concerned about the under-achievers at Chelsea rather than the over 30's. 27-year-old Yuri Zhirkov, for instance, cost 18m and has done virtually nothing so far. He should be in his prime, has now had 2 seasons to settle in, but seems to suffer from a re-occurring knee injury.

To be fair, who was he ever going to replace? Ashley Cole? No chance. And his natural position is left winger and he came to us at a time when Malouda was on fire so he just never got a game. Not his fault or ours, just bad timing and bad luck with injury for him. I actually think he's a good player.

Even when Malouda was missing for a few games, Ancelotti seemed more comfortable starting Anelka on the left - rather than Zhirkov. I would really like to see more of him as i've only seen him in cameo appearances as a substitute so far. Hopefully Ramires can establish himself as more than a peripheral player!
