A bit of both really. I don't think Squillaci is cut out for the PL tbh Veggie, maybe the pace of the PL is something he isn't used to or he just needs some more time?
Chris Samba I thought would be a good option for you lot, he's phyiscal, chips in with the goals and is still looking for the exit at Blackburn but they've offered him a new deal, no word if he's decided to stay or not so far...
Can't even beat Notts f*cking County

Don't sweat it meaty, we wouldn't have beaten Huddersfield if it wasn't for that late pen. And that pitch is an utter disgrace. I'm all for multiple use venues but to allow two rugby matches to be played in the run up to a cup tie is madness.
Draw about to take place - I love it!

Sorry, but i just had to type this!
I believe the week when the 4th round replays would be due there is an England friendly

Wish we would drop this obsession with zonal marking... its a disaster.
F*ck knows what Hart was doing aswell, twice hes been more interested in the player in front of him than the ball. Barry and Richards were probably the star players today, we only started to look like scoring when Silva came on.

Villa at home... not too bad.

Away to Orient! I'll take that all day long although I'm super nervous when we play lower league opp as he will put out a team of calamities waiting to happen like Eboue, Denilson, Arshavin etc etc.
Good on little Crawley, getting the primo draw, away to Man U

Afternoon RZB, how do you fancy your chance against Fulham?
Not sure about Fulham Veggie, wouldn't be supirsed what way it went, We played out a 0-0 last season in the cup, don't think we are as good at the back this season, 1 goal in it either way.
Former Member
Yeah, Fulham are a bit like Liverpool a few seasons back - you never know which one will show up. You should have the beating of them easily on quality but they have some really tenacious players
Ouch... disaster for spurs

It's astonishing!! I'm wondering if 'Arry wants to chuck this so he can concentrate on the PL and CL. Unbelievable

Very pleased for Bishop! Local boy. Went to school with my son.
On the Torres saga, as disappointed as I am, I haven't berated him or slagged him... (I'm not a United fan thank you very much, Re Rooney; holding up signs about him one week chanting his name the next
I am keeping the faith and hope fellow Kopites are too, if Torres leaves he won't be booed facing us, but seriously why in under God would he want to go to Chelsea of all teams (no offence prom ) They are in a battle for the top 4, they have half a squad the wrong side of 30 (Lampard, Malouda, Drogba, Terry, Anelka, A Cole)
Wonder if Torres does go will Phil Mitchell and the lads be shouting him on...

i've been following the torres will he won't he go saga on a liverpool fan forum all weekend......the general opinion on there from about 90% of fans is that torres .should he sign for chelsea will be booed to hell and back next sunday and on his return to anfield........some are even saying they hope jamie carragher breaks his legs.....some want more than that and for someone to give him a career ending injury........

So, no hysteria or anger amongst Liverpool fans... good to know!
i can understand they'd boo him cs.and i understand they're hacked off if he leaves......the other stuff though......waaaaaaaaaaaaaay out of line..
some on there are complaining about us putting in a bid in the first place.....strange they don't seem to realise they've done exactly the same with adam from blackpool...
interesting point that is raised over and over again on there though is that something is going on behind the scenes that has made torres decide he wants to go.....all sorts of rumours flying around.......

I have been following RAWK religiously for 2 days and the general consensus is mass disappointment from fans, some saying if he doesn't want to stay then he can go and invest the money back into LFC. What you have said is what a small minority of tossers are saying, fickle fans. The majority of the Kop faithful are almost in mourning. None of him want to get injured but they are at the point of almost accepting it as a done deal in that they can do no more.
My idea scenario is that he stays, we go on the rest of the season and Torres regains the form of 2 seasons back, Luis Suarez is a hit and we get in the top 4 knocking Chelsea out..Torres will then count his blessing...I can dream can't I?! UI can't wait until 11pm tomorrow night til this is all over...

I don't blame Chelsea they are looking out for their own interests which is understandable, only thing that smells is the rumours that Chelsea have 'tapped' Torres (eg promising him things if he moves etc) which isn't allowed as far as I know.
i think torres has wanted to go for sometime tbh r.r.....he may have said all the right things.....but i think it's widely accepted he's wanted away from liverpool for a while...
i can't say if we've tapped him or not...it does go on..it'd be foolish to suggest otherwise......
he apparently trained alone at melwood this afternoon.........and for all the speculation.....as far as i've read/seen officially..we put a bid in and it was refused.....torres handed in a written transfer request...it was refused.........the rest seems to be pure media speculation...
the forum i'm reading the majority of fans are saying even if he does stay they'll view him as a traitor for handing in a transfer request anyway.....
i think he's gone.....whether it's now or in the summer.....or whether it's to us or someone else..i think his days as a liverpool player are nearly over

Thats the most reliable forum imho for a consensus of opinion.
I'm just gutted, I really don't want him to go especially to a rival who is 3 positions above us therefore a rival for CL places. I honestly think if Torres goes it will be the biggest regret of his life.
What do CFC fans think about it? Also how do you think he will realistically fit in with Drogba

i think he's a great player..i'd love him to be at chelsea.......i think he'd play well with drogba........anelka would be the one pushed out i think.........and the drog isn't getting any younger and who knows if he won't be off in the summer anyway?!!
torres is a class act and would be an asset for any team i reckon.........his record speaks for itself

How much do you think CFC will spend on him?
ooooooooooo well that's a tricky one river!!..he has suffered with injuries......personally i think 50 million is a ridiculous price........but then i think it's a mad price for anyone if i'm honest.......
i think chelsea may go to it though.......but i wouldn't be surprised if they didn't either.given his injury record

I would much rather Chelsea had made a deal for David Luiz of Benfica work. IMO the need for another centre back is greater right now than that of another striker - the squad was shown up during October as embarrassingly weak when neither Terry or Alex were available.
you make a good point cs...........but i guess the likes of torres don't come up for grabs everyday.....if there's an inkling he wants to come i'm not surprised we tabled a bid...
i have to say i'm agreeing with what the pool fans are saying on that forum......this hasn't just come about in the last few days.....something's gone on........i know we were interested in him last summer but nothing came of it.
i agree though...our defence needs sorting for sure

Atletico Madrid are willing to listen to offers for striker Fernando Torres.
It seems that Chelsea have been after Torres for a whileReportedly a Chelsea target last summer, the 21-year-old Spanish striker has also been linked with moves to AC Milan, Barcelona and Arsenal.
well it's either going to be a very interesting last day in the transfer window........or a complete damp squib!!
So, a home game with Reading if we get past Everton. I still can't believe we were in the draw. Cech kept us in it the whole game. We were bloody abysmal in the second half and Everton really should have taken advantage of it. And yeah, Drogba back to whingeing diving tart again falling all over the place. I hate it. But like I said before, that's what he does when he has a bad game. Dunno why.
River Rock I reckon if Torres comes to us it will be because we won the double last year and he will have been told we are spending big time to build the team up again. I was amazed to see Roman opening his wallet again so any promises of spending to improve won't be false as they were when Liverpool made him the same promises. Whether Torres alone is enough to revitalise our team I really don't know. We looked out of sorts again against Everton. Time will tell and all that.

Send him this to cheer him up...
The thought of Torres in a blue jersey makes me feel physically ill
If he goes I don't believe it to be for less than Β£50m

Reports on RAWK Liverpool may be interested in Llorente...his full name Fernando Llorente Torres..I kid you not.

They want a player to replace him. Anelka and Drogba could both do that but really, why would Liverpool be asking for Anelka who's probably playing his last season for Chelsea where he will be useful? Bizarre. He's not worth 50 mil on his own so that may be the reason no deal can be made.
On SSN earlier... Spurs had a Β£38.5mil bid for Aguero rejected.
Of all days for Notts county to choose a day to not allow our Chief Communications Officer (A Woman) into the tunnel.... while every other member of staff was allowed.
Notts County have denied sexism claims saying they don't do sexism... but they have a bar with scantily dressed ladies though.
Hooters were there today at the bar apparently....
