£46 million for Adam, Holloway is losing his marbles on a wider spectacle, no way would any club pay that plus he would be worth more than David Villa if they did.

Lord Sugar did an interview on BBC/Sky over Spur's bid for the stadium, didn't see it though...

Velvet Donkey - I'm wiping the egg from my vegan face as I type I'm delighted to be wrong but still think Arshavin and Bendtner were poor for large parts of the game with misplaced passes and poor shots all over.
Went to watch our babies play in the FAYC against Chelsea at the Bridge last night. We were really poor, had one of our more experienced defenders stretchered off and lost to an injury time goal!!
Ah well, some you win etc. I was impressed with the Chelsea kids, they were committed and pressed hard. There wasn't a lot of quality on show from either side but we were lethargic and didn't look interested

Stoke City have accepted a bid of £3m from Sunderland for striker Ricardo Fuller, reports BBC Radio Stoke.

The 31-year-old Jamaica international has scored 48 goals in 177 appearances since joining the Potters from Southampton in August 2006.

Sunderland are looking for a striker to replace Darren Bent, who moved to Aston Villa for an initial £18m on Tuesday.

Good news Darlo! No extra games.
Manchester United's Rafael has received an £8,000 fine and a warning about his future conduct following his actions in last week's 0-0 draw with Tottenham.
He escaped an extension to the one-game ban he will serve for the red card.

The good news keeps coming!

Ryan Giggs says he wants to play on for United next season - "good news" according to his manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

The 37-year-old Welsh winger has belied his age once again this season to turn in some fine displays, and he sees no reason to hang up his boots just yet.

"I am quite happy still playing at the moment," Giggs told us on Friday. "I am really happy and enjoying my football as much as ever. I said if I was still enjoying myself and still getting picked I would carry on. We will sit down and talk but I am really looking forward to playing next year.

Phew what a relief Monkey and delighted about Giggsy.

Veggie altohugh Arshavin has been off guard recently and seems to lost his confidence I think he'll be back to his best hopefully at some point as I do rate him. I agree with Rio Ferdinand too that Nasri is a contender for player of the year so far too..

Meaty seems like City might make a bid to Ajax for Gregory Van Der Wiel, he played well at the World Cup and seems to be improving as a player.

Late, late goals from Everton and Spurs to each claim a point this afternoon.

Three points for at Goodison would have been a massive result for ten man West Ham but it just wasn't to be! Chelsea now have the chance on Monday night to put some distance between themselves and Spurs...

Felt really sorry for West Ham and Newcastle; late goals are a killer. See Piquionne got a 2nd yellow for celebrating his goal. I don't blame the ref, I blame the joyless tankers who made the rule in the first place.
They were saying on the radio that it was X number of years since Brum had beat Man U. Made me wonder how many of those years that Brum had an ex Man U player managing them! Not that I'm alleging anything :ninja
First ever hat trick apparently for van Persie today. Seems incredible that he hasn't got one before but he spends half the season on the treatment table.

What a sh*te weekend, unable to go today... got the flu so decided to stay behind and watch it on tv

I don't know where to start, Villa did exactly what we did at Arsenal... the only difference being that they managed to score. I think our title hopes are over and its between United and Arsenal now. We will never be taken seriously because of the way we play... we have a good passing game, but its so bloody slow... by the time we shift the ball across the field the oppositions defense is already set. Our tempo and work rate is the biggest issue of them all and it looks the main difference between us and Utd, Arsenal and Spurs. They shift the ball alot quicker, we take our time and are happy to be patient. Fans are starting to grow inpatient with the team now aswell... what do we want? Boring style of football but winning trophies or a very attacking minded game of football but little success. I enjoyed watching us more under Keegan when getting a bag full of goals but still managing to lose than now. Its hard to believe we are actually third in the league. Only two shots on target today...

I reckon it will finish with Man U on top, Arsenal second and us, Spurs and Man City fighting for the other two CL spots. That's assuming our horrendous run doesn't start again when we play Bolton on Monday. Owen Coyle's a great manager he's got them playing well above themselves, it's going to be a tough game.

I'm not convinced that Man Utd and Arsenal will finish first and second. Still plenty of games remaining - including several key head to heads... hopefully the season has a few twists and turns left in it! They were sitting first and second at this stage last season (albeit with less of a lead on Chelsea than they currently have), and have not finished as the Top 2 since 2002/03, oddly.

It was priceless Meaty, we were at the game and didn't see it as I think it was upstairs but it gave us a laugh.
Btw it was at the Bridge on Thursday night at the FAYC game, not the Emirates. We have no blue seats at the Grove - perish the thought!

Aha - so it was all your fault that they lost ! See? You didn't go and look what happened

Lol no probs. We had allocated seats in the away part of the shed but once we got in there people were moving around sitting with their mates etc. I'm surprised the woman made a fuss, I think she must have been Arsenal!

"Chelsea hope to finalise the £26million transfer of David Luiz over the next 24 hours after Benfica officials flew to London for talks.

The Blues are looking to include Paulo Ferreira as part of the deal. They have earmarked Manchester City's Joleon Lescott and Wolfsburg's Simon Kjaer as alternatives should the move fail"

I've read quite a few rumours regarding the above over the past couple of weeks (Daily Mail being the latest source) and will be relieved when/if a deal is finalised.

Luiz is a decent player (49 appearances during Benfica's title winning season) - and at 23 in the age group that Chelsea need to be looking at with a view to continued ambitions towards the top honours.
