Any of the Chelsea bods on here going to the FA Youth Cup at the Bridge against us? I'm going to the Emirates to try and get tickets tomorrow but we've only been allocated 500! Guess that means that they are only opening 1 stand for the game!
They're 3 quid a pop for adults, and a quid for kids and old timers - right good value

Hi Monkey ( I would kiss you but that's a smiley I don't have so instead....) mwah xx
No I'm not confident, I never am as everytime I feel even a vestige of confidence it gets cruelly crushed under the clodhopping feet of Denilson, Bendtner and Arshavin!!
How about you? I see Van Der Vaart has been running his mouth again - that boy needs a slap

Good result for us... defense was a shambles as usual but dangerous when attacking. It looked a deadly partnership with Tevez & Dzeko... didnt look too reliant on Tevez all the time. Dzeko held the ball well and won everything in the air One particular moment was when Tevez knocked it to Dzeko who sent a through ball for Y.Toure which resulted in a goal... also gave me a right chuckle when Dzeko sent another through ball for Barry, I think he thought that Barry was a pacey winger
Annoyingly though, we conceeded 3 goals... one which was down to K.Toure, another from a stupid penalty given away by Lescott and another due to this crap zonal marking.
As for Wayne Bridge... Just watching the game now, I would say he is responsible for both goals there. First one he didnt even bother closing down Walcott and on the second goal, he played Walcott onside and Walcott walked round him to tap it in.

Blimey... that was poor. So far under Coyle the defeats have usually come whilst still having a go at teams, but there was absolutely nothing today...
I think a bit of new blood is needed to reinvigorate things.

Whew, I wanted a good performance and a great result and we got it. I was a bit worried when I got in and heard that they had got rid of Grant and got O Neill in. I thought we might be whacked by new manager syndrome twice in one week. But then he was still there
When we don't play Bendtner, Arshavin and Denilson I feel a lot more confident. Disley, word is that we might be keeping Vela now as the stalling point with the loan is guaranteed playing time for Vela - it's only a rumour though.
Can we interest you in Bendtner instead :ninja

That was a win and a half for you Joe. What was it? 4-0 in the end. I like Tony Mowbray and hope he does well for the Boro

Morning footy fans
Sad news this morning that Nat Lofthouse has died. He was a real old school type of player and a one club man all his life. They don't make them like that anymore

RIP Nat
Back to the footy and some really good games to look forward to today. A draw between Spurs and Man U would suit me and I'd like Villa to win too - anything that puts the legbreakers of Birmingham closer to relegation gives me a happy!

Meaty, I meant to say how good your mob looked on MOTD last night. A real pleasure to watch with their passing and movement.
Makes it all the more frustrating that they were so negative at the Emirates. It could have been a real classic game

You sound much the same as me, am feeling less than confident today. As Rzb pointed out - we're due a spanking from Spurs, we've has more than a few lucky breaks against them in the past *gulp* But hoping Rooney finds his form today. Oh by the way, totally agree with you about Van Der Vaart Nice win for you yesterday

Good game so far... Spurs have dominated, Modric looks class and rarely loses the ball. Rafael being a nob waving an imaginary yellow card I think United will come out the better side second half. Either a 0-0 draw or United will win 2-0, Ferguson will give them a right kick up the arse.

I think Man U are finding it bit tough with key player Howard Webb being rested by Fergie for this game
That's another tenner down the drain.

Welcome to the club - I had Spurs.
Still it's all in a good cause - so Fearless Freddie once said to me.

I had fivers on Hernandez n Berbatov! 11/5 both. Did Berbatov play though?

Couldn't you tell from the reaction of the Spurs fans Joe?
They had a warm welcome reserved for the Berbs

Indeed! They clearly missed his vision and influence...
I only returned at half time then went out on me bike since it was 0-0.

Ref Muf
Dean put in a good shift for Harry though
Who'd be a ref eh? We love them when they give us a decision and hate them when they don't. I do have a problem with Howard Webb MBE - Manchesters Best Employee - as I don't think any ref who supports a team should be allowed to ref them - or their nearest rivals.
It's one of the main arguments against talk about fast tracking retired players into being referees

We may have turned the corner. If the football league show is to be believed.
Got to say what an amazing goal by Tevez yesterday. I hate him with a passion but what a player he is! Ditto Nani, just sublime.
Tevez has been pretty poor the past few games, it was only on saturday he looked him old self again. Think he got fed up of doing everything himself as a lone striker. With Dzeko playing along side him we don't rely on him as much as we did before, it was the same with Silva. When things were not going well it turned into a one man team. Don't know where it leaves Balotelli, if Dzeko continues to perform the way he did against Wolves then its gonna be hard to drop him.
Meaty, you have Tevez, Dzeko and Balotelli. All very attacking minded players. All very versatile. If you don't start all three of them together and destroy PL defences your manager is a 'special' one but not in the Mourinho sense if you get my drift.
SSN - Darren Bent hands in transfer request after £18mil bid from Aston Villa... could go up to £24mil. A big asking price... im not sure what he is thinking, going from a side that is currently on course for europa league to a side in a relegation battle.

I was reading that yesterday CS... annoyingly, there seems to be nothing wrong with what they are doing. Its down to HMRC to change this though, theres way too many loopholes these days.
Think theres something similar with the owner of topshop who dodges tax, he's in this country... but his wife is the registered owner and is outside of the UK so the business doesn't have to pay a penny.
