Spoke to my brother about the game last night, he said it was the worst away support we have had all season... there were idiots two rows down who had clearly just come from work (wearing suits) and spent most of the game on their phones.

Ah but were they talking on their phones with a Mancunian accent Meaty? You might be picking up the glory supporters formerly attached to Man U and Chelsea lol.
I see Zabaleta is appealing his red card. He should have it rescinded, a red was harsh for both players but far harder on him. We are not appealing Sagnas red card as he was bang to rights even if it wasn't a head butt as such. I'm surprised at Sagna, he is usually a really calm, sweet natured guy but I think Zabaleta did a bit of a rough challenge (although not an illegal one) and Sagna finally flipped out after all the really crap stuff that's been done to him this season. Unfortunately he went for Zabaleta who didn't deserve it

Roy Keanne been sacked?
Looks like it Joe according to the Daily Fail. I don't know how he did so well at Sunderland and so utterly awful at Ipswich. Excellent footballer, decidedly odd manager. I have to say I'm quietly pleased. I hate the man, cretin of the highest order.
I can also reveal that I was never keen on him either. reportedly quite talented at attacking women, young men, and footballers standing on one leg, yet unable to deal sternly with grown-ups like Alan Shearer, or so it said in the press.
Well, he showed us what he was all about when he single-handedly destroyed the Republic Of Ireland's chances of progressing in the world cup by pointing out how much better everything was at Man United and how appalling the training facilities were. I'm amazed his fellow internationals didn't kill the horrible waste of space before he could get on the plane back to Manchester.

Not sure if I like that news or not seeing as we will be playing them in the CC soon. Never a good thing to face a team who have just had a change of manager.
I too loathe Keane with a vengeance, hardly surprising for a Gooner. Imo he should never have been allowed to have any role in football after admitting he deliberately went out to injure a player. He is a bully and a coward. i remember him with Patrick Viera in the tunnel, PV knew how to deal with him

They are now suggesting that the world cup in football crazy Qatar may take place in winter.
Happy New Year Footy Fans
Just heard that Zabaleta has won his red card appeal. I think thats fair.

I agree! Neither should have been sent off IMO.
It was so late in the game a yellow would of been enough. Refs eh.
A couple of look-a-likes
Looks like Becks is off to Spurs
LOL Monkey I respect what he did when he was at United but it was obvious Fergie would never have him back because of the hysteria that surrounds him etc . He's not going to play every match for Spurs anyway because they have some very talented players in their midfield but he'll be class with set pieces as we all know.
Hi Darlo
Yeah, I knew Fergie wouldn't have him back, just a little sad he's going to Spurs or any Premiership team tbh. Didn't think he would. Lets just hope he doesn't play against us eh

I think Becks going to N17 has more to do with their ambitions to take over the Olympic stadium on the cheap and 'Arry getting his snout in the England trough than it does on the pitch stuff.
Everyone knows Becks is hugely influential with the blazers at Soho Square - or are they based at Wembley now? - and 'Arry wants that job

Same here Veggie. We've got them on Sunday in the FA Cup and I wouldn't be surprised if their new manager is installed before then, meaning they'll play like maniacs to keep their places.

That Conor Wickham is a talent and a half Prom. He played for their babies against ours in the FA Youth Cup last season and tore us apart - no wonder Ipswich are refusing to sell him. Not sure if he is fit at the mo though.
We are letting Sanchez Watt who is on loan at Leeds play against us tomorrow. Don't approve really, if he was to score against us -unless of course we were home and dry- it would damage his future standing with the fans imo.
I ain't looking forward to tomorrow. I hate the early Sat kickoffs, we lost to N17 and Eduardo got his injury during early Sat fixtures - they seem to bring us bad luck.
In a way I hope you do Ipswich tomorrow and we don't want them getting any confidence before they face us. Word is Paul Jewell is taking over from Keane

That would be a bit silly really. The kid has to show what he's made of. If he scores against you your fans should instead be directing their anger at Wenger who shipped him out in the first place

Hmmmm Stevenage. This is the FA Cup *ponders*

Believe me Prom, there are enough 'fans' venting at AW without Sanchez Watt scoring against us!!
Sprouty - they were talking about your match on 5live earlier. Reckon you should have more than enough to win. The Toon are looking good at the mo

On Roy Keane... you have no idea what I wish would happen to him

I dunno Veggie, to me we're just scraping through, but as has been said before, a win's a win
So Roy Hodgson has gone....

He didn't go from being a good manager at Fulham, getting the best from an average bunch of players, to being really bad. The Liverpool team should all look to themselves for letting down a stream of decent managers. Maybe a few of them should leave 'by mutual consent'.

Always gives me a right chuckle this
Elsewhere Blatter and Platini have demanded a reduction of the number of teams playing top flight football. "domestic championships are too long because there are too many teams and too many matches!"
Will no-one rid us of these pestilent organisations?

Bugger indeed. That's mild compared to what I was saying at the Emirates today believe me. We were pants for large parts of it. It looked like Phil Dowd was giving everything against us. I will have to see it later to get a better idea.
Brentford lost too in the league but Barnet won which will please son who has them as his local team.
Hard luck Joe - I do like Burton Albion for no other reason than they remind me of a jar of marmite

Velvet - I can't see the smiley you've used so not sure if you're being serious or not. Either way I totally love AW, never want to see him leave the club.
Hugs and hard luck to every one who lost today, I'm so glad we didn't.
And Joe - wash your mouth out!! Marmite is the nectar of the Gods

Ah ok thanks. I can only see about half a dozen smilies on here since they rejigged the site, I never realised until now how much we rely on them to get the meaning of a post
You know I watch our babies play at Barnet and AW is always there along with Boro,Pat Rice, Steve Bould and all the Arsenal coaches. He lives and breathes footie and all the staff are expected to do the same. He is really sweet as well, as long as you don't bother him when the game is actually on, he will sign for you and is really friendly.

Managed to get a ticket to the Leicester game tomorrow, well chuffed
Stevenage 3 - 1 Newcastle

I see El-Hadji Diouf has also been a complete tosser today aswell.
"QPR boss Neil Warnock brands El-Hadji Diouf a "sewer rat" and "lowest of low" for abusing Jamie Mackie as he lay on pitch with a broken leg"
