I don't follow football really but I have to say watching soccer saturday has gone from being a chore to one of the highlights of my week. I was on twitter and one of the trending topics was #celebperfumes, and couldn't help but laugh at one of them.

Sir Alex Ferguson has recalled all his loaned players out at Preston... probably because his son was sacked, don't know how he can be pissed off at that when North End are rock bottom. They used to be up there knocking on the door of promotion and now some clown is taking them down... I knew when Maurice Lindsay came in as Chairman that Ferguson would soon be gone, I remember when he was with us at Wigan (Rugby League) he would do anything to make our club a success and he did. He even cheated at times, once we were on the verge of relegation and he bought in players and a new coach that we were not allowed (we went over the max. salary cap) and managed to avoid relegation. Without those signings we would of gone down for the first time ever. Pretty piss attitude of Alex Ferguson to do that and even Tony Pullis has followed suit now (no idea why) and recalled his players that were on loan to Preston.
I wish we would send RSC, Assullin and M.Johnson to PNE to save them

Happy New Year footy fans xxxx
C'mon the Arsenal today!
C'mon the Arsenal today!
I officially hate Odemwingie... useless prick.
Disappointing final 20 minutes from WBA considering they were losing. Not enough urgency, nor the ability to play an ugly game and pressurise the Utd defence - did Kuszczak even have to make a save during the closing stages???
Lucky United, relieved we won (somehow) but how Chris Foy didn't give that penalty and Gary Neville a red card I don't know..
Odemwingie had a chance to make it 2-1 with that penalty that was given and wated it, they should have had Brunty take it.
Albion are going to feel very disappointed as they dominated most of the match, they do need another striker which Di Matteo is going to look for.

No upsets in the Premiership so far today... c'mon Birmingham!
With several of the lower placed teams losing West Ham have jumped about 6 places. Interesting to note that their revival has coincided with the return of Freddie Sears from loan - won 2 and drawn 1 with him back in the team. A young player worth keeping an eye on?

A bad day so far results wise for Chelsea. United very lucky to get 3 points they remind me of us last year picking up points we didn't deserve I guess everything goes your way when you're at the top. It looks like Arsenal are going to win too. Top 4 spot looking more and more like our realistic aim this year.
It's nice to see West Ham improving much as I absolutely detest Grant. I wouldn't like to see them go down.

FFS the standard of refereeing is piss poor... West Brom should of had a penalty in the first half and Neville would of been red carded (mind you if it was Odemwingie taking it then it probably wouldn't of made any difference) and Van Persie made a dive to get a free kick (which resulted in a goal) and made a handball in his own area We should be top of the league right now but because some daft cnut didnt blow his whistle we aint.

I'm well happy now I hate Birmingham with a fiery passion after what happened with Eduardo and the reaction of their vile fans.
So what if RVP dived, we had a penalty awarded against us in the Wigan game and not only was that a dive it was outside the area - and we should have had a stonewall penalty at the end of the Wigan game that wasn't given. Just the way it goes.
I see that promising youngster Joe Cole got Woy out of trouble today

Thats exactly whats wrong with the game today... people easily dismiss cheating.

Actually Meaty I have stated previously that I am against cheating and don't like it when our players do it - don't forget we are the fans who booed Eboue off and gave him grief for his persistent playacting.
But when it comes to Birmingham - or Stoke - then I couldn't give a monkeys about them being cheated. They got a point against ManU by using their hand this week so tough luck when this ref didn't see a handball.
They can whine when one of our players practically shears off one of their players legs causing that player to be out for a year and never being able to regain his form and performance.
Until them, Brum and Stoke can do one

The standard of reffing is no better nor worse than at any other time, but IMO the players have never cheated so much, I'm sure they practice their cheating skills as much as their dead ball situations. I would love to think that the constant abuse Ronaldo received forced him out........ But I suspect that he fancied a few seasons in an easy league.
With all the top sides winning today the weekend is now set up for Chelsea to be the fall guys. I can't see it though - Villa look truly woeful themselves... but with the huge dip in form from Chelsea an upset cannot be ruled out.
Looking at the table, Chelsea require the 3 points just to edge back in front of Spurs and reclaim 4th place. Looking slightly further ahead - Arsenal and City meet during the week - so 3 points tomorrow would be a massive boost towards potentially closing the gap next week.

Bowyer... what a tool
We learned our lesson about abusing Bowyer many years ago. A mere five minutes of singing, "You're supposed to be in gaol! " culminated in him scoring a super goal, and running along the front of our stand holding his hand against his ear.
Normally one would abuse the Chelsea team and their cheating but we backed that Frank one to score at any time. 11/10 !! Hope amiobe scores later at 13/5 but not sure if he's playing!
Chelsea Celebrating like they won a cup final and then blew it... was a good cross from Albrighton

No better or worse than any other Premiership team where cheating is concerned...

It certainly felt like a goal of that magnitude - given that they were trailing 1-2 just 5 minutes earlier. On recent form this was a match between 2 of the poorest sides in the division and i think some of the defending from both sides reflected this.
Kenny Dalglish won't be performing any miracles anytime soon for the Kop with that squad if Roy is inevitably sacked.
Chelsea must be kicking themselves about that last gasp equaliser.. oh well in Twitterland tis amusing to see the spats between Lord Sugar and Piers Morgan, both supporting one side of the North London duo too next they will need boxing gloves.

I was referring to the three Chelsea dives.

I don't think there were three Chelsea dives - at least not that i noticed. Unless, of course, you are including Petr Cech - who is entitled to dive. The penalty seemed stonewall as the Collins challenge was as clumsy as they come.
Well nevertheless me and me dad have hit Mr Coral for the best part of a hundred poond and one of the goals was as a result of a Chelsea player throwing himself to the ground like a tart for which we are eternally grateful
Mario.... knee injury my arse, been out partying by the sound of it.
"Woop of to manchester with the beautiful @sophmccormack and @FayeEvette gonna party hard til 2011"

I am no expert but from what I have seen,Liverpool seem to get the award for diving the most.. I don't think there were three Chelsea dives - at least not that i noticed. He was with this one few weeks ago... so no idea. When he had a leg injury just over a month ago he was with her sat in the Colin Bell Stand.
Yes, i can see how he could easily pick up a leg injury!
I'm quite interested in the difference between watching the game on the tellybox and actually being there. Sometimes i see certain incidents live at my end of the ground, which don't seem the same on the box. Today I saw various incidents on the box which Cold Sweat didn't see.
This applies even more when I have been at cricket matches- the human eye n brain are still superior to the camera!
We went asleep for Villa's third goal. Defence a disgrace and Cech forgot keepers are allowed to jump for and claim balls with their hands. Or he was afraid of contact (again). Either way he stood still and watched the ball fly into the net. Handy that.
Top 4 if we're lucky.

Meanwhile I don't give a flying one as to whom the players are shagging, or under what circumstances.

Not really. Just like any camera you only have one angle to watch from. That's why refs get more decisions wrong than they do right.

Samaras!
But your eye n brain move more quickly than the editor.

They don't move any quicker than the camera. In fact you're at a disadvantage in the crowd because you'll see what you want to see depending on your allegiance. The camera is emotionless and does not lie. The referee is often clueless so lying doesn't really come into it. It doesn't alter the fact he will have only one angle to make a judgement on just as you do. The camera has several (for they are Legion).
I just threw a sort of Satanic joke in there did you like it?
