Most of United's defence were injured this time last year, we were having to play Carrick at centre half etc to cover it and we were still in there near the top. Chelsea will have to go into the transfer market for some more reinforcements, I still don't know what the club were thinking in getting rid of RW.


I don't mind Bolton, they're doing well.

Bosingwa's an excellent right back, he's coming back from injury.l Ivanovich kind of made the position his own but he's at CB because Alex is injured. Bosingwa has pace (he's our Ashley Cole on the right wing) so it made sense to bring him on when we were chasing the game though if he is fully fit he should have started anyway.

Ramires has some good games and some awful ones. Maybe he'll make it in the PL, maybe not. He sure don't look like a Brazilian footballer to me. I would have kept Mikel on. Malouda, Mikel, Lampard, Essien, arguably our strongest midfield. I'm still not buying this 'we don't have the players anymore' thing. We put a strong team out there and they were crap. It's that simple really.

yes but you had rooney smacking goals in for fun........our problem is we can't defend atm......j.t,bosingwa,alex,cech were all injured...then lamps was injured..drogba had malaria......and now we can't buy a goal either...it's not just injuries....the confidence of the whole team has just gone....that's the major problem........we've lost the same amount of games now as we did all last season.........

we're still 4th but in all honesty have a mountain to climb.........but usually every team has a wobble during the season.........arsenal faltered...utd haven't played that well but have picked up points.....there's still a long way to go..

I don't think we're title material this year spongey. As long as we qualify for the CL the season won't be a disaster for me (can't win the damned thing every year). I have a funny feeling we'll make the CL final this year too assuming Platini and co. don't intervene and give us another Ovrebo type ref along the way.

Well obviously the CL is the senior competition. I have no issues with any English team winning it. One would love 'em all to be the in the last four. I wan't to see Blatter and Platini cry!

Doesnt matter who gets into the champions league... because every english club is just gonna get their arses kicked by Barcelona at some point I honestly couldnt be arsed playing them, knowing us we would lose by cricket score.

I remember last seasons pre-season friendly against them, they threw in their first team and we got pissed on the whole game. Couldnt get out our own box never mind our half, they even got so fed up they bombed everyone forward which resulted in us playing a stoke special (long ball tactics) and Petrov managed to scab a goal to finish 1-0

We hope that contingency plans are in place for beating the Catalonians.

I really don't get this tedious adulation of Barca from English football fans. They play in a league where they take turns winning with Real Madrid against League 2 quality opposition. They have ONE outstanding player, Messi, who often goes anonymous if teams don't roll over for him and shows no evidence he would ever make it in the PL. Messi or Tevez, hang on a minute I've got Roman on the phone....

Please please please stop this Barcelona hero worship they only got past us in the CL because they had a ref that blatantly cheated us out of three clear penalties. The Barca players fouled us every way imaginable knowing the ref was paid to give them every decision. World beaters they are not. Get. A. Grip.

having been at that game i whole heartedly agree........and the behaviour of SOME barca fans afterwards in the streets......throwing stuff.....punch ups etc........if that'd of been an english teams supporters.....platini and blatter would have them banned from the competition for years.....

Laugh all you like, but its true... Chelsea look sh*t, United have their problems and Spurs/City are too inconsistant. The only team that would probably have a chance is Arsenal... and you will see how right I was when they come up against Barcelona in February

TBF I meant that Barcelona would struggle if they were playing the entire might of a strong league. At the moment they play Surreal Madrid one week, and then the equivalent of Shrewsbury, Huddersfield, and Blyth Spartans.

Emperor's new clothes mate. Any of the current top five in PL could take them (except us on current form) and Tevez is a much better player than Messi imo he just isn't recognised as such because... take a wild guess... YOU'VE GOT IT! He doesn't play for Barcelona.

I wasnt debating that Messi is better than Tevez... im on about Barcelona being a better team and able to easily beat United, Chelsea, Arsenal, City and Tottenham based on how the teams are currently performing.

I just think they play very attractive football and manage to get good results from it, if we do it we get spanked... so we usually play defensive football and scrape 1-0 results against Bolton
