United were dominant from start to finish because the early goal gave the players more confidence.  Blackburn normally play well against us and are normally organised at the back but they were a shambles in the match.

Pleased WBA won, poor Everton fan being surrounded by the Baggie fans at the pub I was at, plus some of the Wolves lot were there and of course there were a few United fans.

Unlucky Meaty that Stoke equalised in injury time...

Carnelian  I thought of you while I was watching it. What did you think of our boy Lansbury then? He's such a good prospect, came on leaps and bounds on loan at Watford last year so we hope he does the same with you. What an excellent performance all round from your boys

Plus anything that makes Roy Keane miserable makes me smile

Surprised at whats going on at Chelsea, United haven't played well so far but we've stuck in there and grinded out results like always.

Veggie what do you think of these affair rumours about Wenger?, good win yesterday btw but Villa are in shocking form at the moment.

I know an Ipswich fan who I speak to on the net who will be gutted about todays result, ps well done Carnelian and enjoy the celebrations LETS BE AVIN YOU!.

Joe, he's becoming a sure thing isn't he, AC. Very old fashioned centre forward, big and strong, jumps well too.

Darlo, I dunno what to think except she is deffo exagerating and making up a lot of it. He clearly knows her but as for a two year affair - well!! She has been hawking her arse around all the papers but none of them are buying which they would if she had anything worth selling. She sent photos of herself wearing last seasons kit to all the papers with the note "Sonia at the wedding??" hinting that he will marry her - what a fool. Men don't marry the likes of her. Plus if she was his mistress he would have set her up in a flat (as all goof Frenchmen do!!) not just gone to a hotel with her,
Truth be told I wouldn't think he thinks any more of her than a human Kleenex - if you get my meaning  - that's if he even went there at all.
I'm more concerned about us letting leads slip, where Cescs head is at the moment and TV5 non stop Achilles injury
FM
Well she's hinting that she's pregnant but refusing to say who the father is! Whining about it being a problem pregnancy etc - if that's the case then why is she smoking!  I'd be surprised if she was pregnant and even more astonished if she knew who the father was!  Time will tell I guess but one of the Times journalists on Twitter reported on Friday that AW had issued proceedings against a British newspaper over allegations about his private life but then about 2 hours later took the tweet down so no one knows if it is true or not.

Meaty, that Hutton is a diver, season before last he played for them against our reserves and dived on several occasions - twice his dives won them free kicks which they scored from. Very furious fans that night at Barnet I can tell you

Ok, Reading away will do me I suppose for our one day out at the Cup!!

Carnelian, nice one today, hopefully that will have really demoralised Ipswich for Wednesday night when we play them in the League Cup.

Torquay v Carlisle, the longest journey in the Football League, Mr Pink kept saying towards the end they would be drawn together.  Also thought how well Noel Gallagher looked and how good he was doing the draw.
β™₯PinkBabe1966β™₯The Angel under the tree!
Noels haircut IS naff though - just like him. I'm old fashioned, why do we have to have pop stars doing the draw? Surely there are enough out of work football peeps who could do it and do with the money.
Plus how fishy was it that they both drew their own teams out - and against eachother too!!

Should be a good game at Reading Pinky, nice footballing side under the Arsenal old boy, hope you win. And I hope you beat Ipswich in the CC - we could be on for a semi final together if we can get past Wigan. I'm hoping they will be distracted by their league form and put out a weakened team on Tuesday.
Gawd knows we'd struggle to beat their first team at the Emirates the way we drop off lately

Hi Veggie.

I thought he looked pretty good and set up Holt for his second and looks like a good signing already. Live TV is usually a curse to Norwich so the performance was exceptional and the first time Norwich have got 4 over Ipswich. Keano is a legend.  Long may he continue to work his Ipswich Town magic!

I'm trying to look on the bright side at the moment. If we slip out of the top four all the gloryhunting numpties masquerading as fans will hopefully bugger off back to whoever they supported before we won anything.

We had a problem the other day on Bluemoon (MCFC Forum). Someone made a thread saying he used to support Liverpool and switched to City last season when Tevez signed. He was soon shot down and banned... im seeing alot more city fans about lately. I remember I used to be a poster on another football forum 3-4 years ago, I was known to be the only poster who supported City... now there are about 40 members who also support us. Its awful, especially now that we have newbies sitting in the stands who don't get behind the team and boo the players off even if we are not actually losing.
MrMincePie
You'll be alright Prom when you get your first team fit again. What were they talking about on MOTD2 tonight? Something about boardroom goings on at Chelsea? What's that about?

Joe, I love Burton Albion - their kit makes me think of Marmite. Not sure if it is a deliberate colour scheme as Marmite are based there I think.

Carnelian  Are you on twitter? Henry Lansbury and Grant Holt are: Ask if you want the link

Ah ok thanks, it's been that way for a while there though hasn't it? The Wenger hating Gooners think the board doesn't have enough power at Arsenal. Personally I'm happy with the boss calling the shots if that is what's happening.
Reports today that Pat Rice will stand down as our number 2 at the end of the season - hope it's not true, he's a legend for us

It hasn't really been that way up till now unless you count Roman giving that useless twat Grant the manager's job just because he's a mate of his. Other managers had complete control of team managers but Carlo seems happy to be a yes man of sorts.

Any Arsenal fan who wants Wenger out is nuts. He consistently works wonders with teams that are on paper not good enough to be on the top for yet they compete all the time. Only Fergie is a better manager than him in the PL.
Prometheus
Really?  the view from the outside is that Roman is a control freak who hires and fires at whim. Mind you I'm sure the truth is a long way from that. As for Grant, if he is supposed to be so observant and religious then how come he has a job where he breaks all the Shabbos rules virtually every week?

Thanks for saying that about AW, it's pretty much how I feel and it actually means a lot coming from you as I know how much you hate him!!

Indeed! You know that our default position is to have zero tolerance for anything barcodesque or Mackem like. However every once in while....... I think he's a great old fashioned type centre forward. He's fearless, knocks defenders out of the way with shoulder charges, and doesn't throw himself to the floor feigning injury, (or maybe it's too cold to do so)

BTW I've been extremely interested in the press attitude to player's and manager's private lives. I think that if they haven't broken the law they shouldn't be hounded like that.
But no! The scratter press say that  we live in a democracy and we should be told, we have a right to know.
T'was quite pleasant listening to the usual suspects deriding the Grauniad for publishing the Wikileaks business. Apparently we don't have a right to know all that. (I would rather not know all that mind!   )
