I think he will ship out quite a few of the players that Strachan brought in. Aren''t a lot of them the ones Mowbray got rid off from his time at Celtic? I think you're right about their value though, I can't see anyone with any dosh wanting most of them.
Yep! He bought a load of players who couldn't hold down places in the SPL and thus by definition had no chance in the Championship........ Etc.

The gooner forums are in full rant mode, calling for AWs head
As a Chelsea fan I was very happy with that result, sorry, but you are a bigger threat than Spurs. We messed up anyway but seriously, AW is one of the best managers in the game. Second only to Fergie imo. You would have went top if you won today. To even think of sacking him considering what he's done with players who on paper are no match for the rest of the top four is unbelievable.

Thought you would be Prom. I agree though, I can't be doing with the 'grass is greener, we need someone to take us to the next level BS'. We've seen how that carp worked with Charlton, Newcastle, N17 (after Jol) Boro and loads more.
I am firmly in the AW camp, he has revolutionised our club and he is the only one imo to take us further. It's just a bad time at present for a variety of reasons, I feel we will come good, I just hope he can tough it out.
Joe, it'll come ok for the Boro, Mowbray knows what he is doing and he knows the club, just have faith

That's modern supporters though. The only way they'll find out for sure is if he goes, and they'll cry about that instead. People on official Chelsea Chat forum calling for Carlo's head all day long and we just won the double, top of the PL and walking our CL group. I don't want to talk to them I want to reach through my computer screen and strangle them
we're wobbling.........but i think we need the kick up the arse..........after about 6 games mark 'i've got a thatched roof for a haircut' lawrenson and his 'chums' had us champions.......yes we have players missing......j.t,lamps,essien....but that's no excuse....we need to get back on track and fast..........
i like 'arry..........mainly cos he was here at bournemouth....and i still remember his classic interview on local radio after the cherries lost 9-0 at lincoln......
'the first goal was good...the second was offside.the third?.well you can't account for scoring direct from a corner.....the fourth was from a free kick that never was...the fifth was offside as was the sixth..........the seventh the ref should've stopped play as we had a player down....the eighth was a good goal.......and i felt the ninth was scored well after the 2 minutes the ref gave for added time'.........
well it was along those lines anyway........

Mancini v Hughes tomorrow... good god. I recon 0-0 draw.

We've had that though, and today we responded. Should have been 5-1 Chelsea but we lost. No crisis spongey mate just a blip. I hate 'blip' talk but that's exactly what it is. We'll be back, count on it Reference:

No chance mate. He won't attack any team he considers 'capable' but he'll go at Fulham. 3-0 City.
oh we definitely had the chances prom.......as you say.....we could've come away with a 4 or 5-1 win...........but we're not putting the chances away..........we beat fulham....again it should've been comfortable but we ended up 1-0.........any mistake and its 1-1........we're just not showing that killer instinct we had earlier in the season..........obviously every game isn't going to see us smack in 4 or 5 goals......but we seem a little edgy now.nervous infront of goal.....we're snatching at chances now rather than taking them
so what would you take?.....the title or champions league if you were given the choice we could win one?
so what would you take?.....the title or champions league if you were given the choice we could win one?
as for mancini.....i can't see him lasting...........city need a 'ego' manager...like we had with mourinho............he'd cut a few city ego's down to size....just like he did with our players.....

CL every time. Champions of Europe over domestic squabbles and petty bragging rights for me every time. Maybe this is the year we don't win the PL and storm the CL assuming another Ovrebo doesn't throw a spanner in the works.
yep i'd take the champions league too...................i don't think it'd sink in for about a month if we actually won it..........i remember sitting at the bridge in the west stand behind the electric fences ken put up......struggling to beat barnsley etc......getting tanked 4-0 by west ham and 6-0 by qpr one christmas.........the away drubbings at rotherham and forest.......the excitement at winning the zenith data cup......hell it was a day at wembley!!!.....i even wet meself when we beat le havre to win the 'cross channel cup'....a tournament batesy invented so we could win something!!
god when you think back and tommy langley was a god.........trevor aylott a hero.....and selling garry stanley and ray wilkins was a heartbreaking time........all so different now!!

spongey you warm my heart. A 'proper' Chelsea fan. You'd never find one amongst all the gloryhunting f*ckwits on the Chelsea site. I think considering we're through to the last 16 already with games to spare, that the CL is realistic for us. We'll have all our players back by the time we are back in competitive mode.
cheers prom........................of course you're always gonna get the 'glory hunters'...we have em.....utd have em.......it just comes with the territory....
i think it just makes it more special when you've supported/watched your team through shit times and then you get success............for all those chelsea fans moaning that 'drogba can't hit a barn door atm'.......i think.....jesus yer wanna be glad you weren't watching alan mayes!!!

Yeah, I'm hoping that happens to us someday
Our luck maybe changing. Father and I took 13/10 on Tevez scoring at any time.

Indeed! We are just setting 'em up now.

Well mine is anything with sour grapes in it after yesterday!
Meaty/Mincey, I think Mancini had to win today, I could honestly see him on his way out if he had lost to the bloke he replaced. I don't have much time for most of your players but Tevez is a legend. A real honest, decent professional who always gives 100% and cares deeply for whichever club he plays for.
I wish we had a few like him

We would be in deep sh*t without him, we usually struggle up front when he's not present. Im not too sure if Mancini lost he would of been sacked, I remember Hughes won against Sunderland 3-1 and he was still axed. It was like it was already decided way before after the game against Spurs.

Afternoon everyone.
Is Carnelian about? Just wanted to tell him that he's getting one of our babies on loan - Henry Lansbury. He has come on in leaps and bounds since he was loaned out to Watford last season. It says something for the way Norwich play footie that we are letting one of our babies go there for a while

Is he one of the famous Lansburys?

Beg to differ mate, but we'll leave it there.Congrats on the win on Saturday, in the end you deserved it because we let it go. As I said earlier here, one of my worst day as a Gooner, really really bad.

My post went walkies ....what I said was, How was Defoe ever allowed to get his head to the ball that set up the first goal, who was the defender, Defoe is not the tallest of players, yet he was able to flick it on with ease, It can be hard when you've basically won the game, all the half time talk is of how many the winning margin will be, then suddely the slightest thing and it all changes, It's happen to us many a time. You've got to get your home ground as a fortress again to the win the league, This could still be the year.Ronaldo really is in form at the moment La Liga, El Classico this weekend.. might have to have a watch.
Albion lost again, at least for me United won although my cousin would have been gutted over the Arsenal result.

Hiya Darlo, LTNS. Barca warmed up to the derby in fine fashion, 0-8
Hello RZB LTNS to you too, indeed and I do hope they win...
I trust no English reffs are going to act as scabs in the Scottish League?
Not seen this vid before
What to do?? Bet on a 0-0 Fix Draw at 11/1 or bet on Rooney to score at any time, Evens?
Rangers 2 - 0 Yoonited
You heard it here first
You heard it here first
I know that he's not playing his centre backs, I assume that's so they can have an (dis)honourable draw last time, but even so United should be beating shieght teams like Rangers by four or five goals, but will Rooney be a good boy and keep to the script.
I stuck Β£10 on Rangers to win 2-0... must be mad
Speaking of less than delightful teams, did anyone else notice that Celtic Chairman John Reid, without any sense of Iraqi style irony, accused a scottish referee of lies and cover ups?
