He is stable! Thank Bog!
Just watching Derby v Leicester.
Derby just conceded a very soft own goal.
What a turnaround. It's now 2-1 to Derby.
Very well taken second goal.
A couple of amazing and lucky stops by Derby keeper Carson.
How LC have not leveled.
Should have buried that for 3-1.
2-2 and not what either team want.
Not a bad match to be fair.
Carson has had a decent game in goal.
Entertaining stuff!
Alas! We are the potential banana skin merchants tomorrow. We are at home to the semi-dingles who beat us in the other cup a couple of seasons ago.
Rather surprised Oxford Utd v NUFC isn't one of the 8 televised games this weekend.
It's been a great afternoon for 'underdog' stories. Lincoln City, Oxford United and Wycombe. Wycombe putting up a massive fight against Spurs at times looking like winning and cruelly losing in the final seconds.
Also big mention for Wolves, taking out Liverpool.
Some good telly to be had later on tonight.
Well we managed to win!
As far as the myth of giant killing goes I well remember the media wanting a team called Frickley Athletic to beat local Darlington FC and yet in the next round they wanted Darlo to be the giant killers. It's all a load of emotional nonsense. One should always stick to one's personal hierarchy of teams!
A team 18th in the championship spending Β£13m on a winger during the January transfer window.
Speculative.

You have to admire their optimism... and their deep pockets.

I'm sure they will flog him at a profit further down the line. But given their position surely finances should have been used to strengthen the squad in this window - rather than making a loan deal permanent.

I agree CS. It would make a lot more sense trying to improve the squad as a whole with a view to continual improvement than a signing which may have only a small effect on their overall performances. I always feel that if players can see a team is improving year on year, the club is more likely to attract better players.

Monaco bought Bernardo Silva for a similar price (and after a loan spell) from Benfica 18 months ago and he is now on the radar of Man Utd , Real Madrid etc. The common denominator... Jorge Mendes!
Just watching MUFC V Wigan
Unfortunately Marianne Flakey has scored late in the first half.
Was hoping Wigan would take this scalp.
It's not over yet!
Lol

It was over for me when the second went in, I did not stay for the remainder.
It was lovely to be thought of as one of the shock results!
Another home game against a mighty team!
I'm going to predict this one - Huddersfield Town to beat Man City.
You are getting a proven goal scorer EC!!
Having his medical right now... apparently!

Ah, do you mean Jordan Rhodes?
His dad is the goalkeeping coach - probably had a word with him
However, we shall see, the Owls forums are already welcoming him, I prefer to see it in black and white.
1 February - all times GMT
13:00: Jordan Rhodes [Middlesbrough - Sheffield Wednesday] Initial loan before Β£10m permanent deal in summer.
Which is another way of saying relegation concerns us and if we go down you can forget him!
I should imagine.

I suspect that a full sale agreement could not be arranged in time and the next best solution was a loan with option to buy.
BTW - I don't think you will get relegated, there are enough clubs below who are just not very good this year. If Lie-cest-ter keep on with their poor form, they could be in the bottom three by March!
I'm thinking.....in Rafa we have a good idea *coughs* preferring to 'blood' our youngsters although it didn't work out for the best in the cup
*Looking forward to playing with the big boys* again next season though

Missing a certain someone?
By that, I mean Kante

Now that's pressure
Here's hoping you cash in.
CASH OUT NOW VELVET BEFORE WE CONCEDE !!!
velvet donkey posted:Nope.
The spirit of EC is with me
I'm following it and after a slow start for both teams it would seem we have created a few chances and a number of corners, applying a bit more pressure toward half time. Hoping for a debut goal for Jordan Rhodes. He assisted in the opener for Wallace.
I wonder if Carlos will try a Winall / Rhodes combination at some point.
Wigan are threatening!!
Have you cashed out or are you sticking with it?
velvet donkey posted:Sticking
Six mins extra time !!
How much have you won then?
velvet donkey posted:Gotta be four sirloin steaks
M&S or Lidl?

I was all in
Glad your weekend started with a win Velvet.
HALF-TIME
Hull 1-0 Liverpool
Klopp out...
Are they seriously saying that ?!?!?
What has happened to Sunderland? 4 up at half time. I know Palace have been s*** but 0-4 !
