Looks like Sunderland's win will send both Newcastle and Norwich down. A great time to be playing Everton who have not really pulled up any trees of late.

Spot-0n! I suspect Martinez is edging ever closer to the exit door.

I've only just finished watching on catch up. I'm pleased Norwich have gone - it's such a remote place. On that basis Bournemouth would have been my choice too and that gives you a clue as to why I hope EC's team beat Brighton and then Hull.

Looks like he could not hold on for another 24 hours. Everton have sacked him.

It's a long shot GJ, but it would be nice if we did. I work with Arsenal and Man City fans and they would be delighted of the "home" away fixture.

Just getting ready to go see Sheffield Wednesday take on Brighton & Hove Albion. I don't feel so nervous being the underdogs, I just hope it's a quality game and we can put ourselves in with a shout for the second game.

Garage Joe,

I think you may find this somewhat amusing given it features your team.

Sorry! I didn't see that before! Sounds convincing!

Meanwhile I expect EC has switched off the surveillance equipment and garaged his transit with the smokey winders  and allowed himself a period of celebration. I'm so pleased for him.

Thanks GJ,

WOW!!!

A 34,260 crowd and it was rocking. What a great atmosphere and a pretty decent game too. Well, I would say that at we won 2-0 ending Brighton's 14 game unbeaten run.

To be fair, they had massive injury problems during the game and ended up with 10 men due to an injury occurring after their 3rd substitution.

But I felt we were good for the result. So it's half time. I just wish we had got that third and it would have made it so much harder for them, but hey, we are in the box seat.

One happy Owl tonight.

I think another plus for you is how little recovery time they now have ahead of the second leg.

Well, back in the Ipswich division (again) for the Canaries to show that Mickey Mouse Suffolk club how to play football.

Can't say this season's been enjoyable but it's been strange.  Norwich always looked the potential part but couldn't make it count.  15 corners against Sunderland and by far the majority of the possession but still lost 3-0, which says something about the coaching and the inability to convert set pieces into goals.

It's been a weird season.  The football's been far better than under Chris Hughton.   Norwich haven't been outplayed in matches as you'd expect of a relegated club but just been outscored and haven't been able to convert possession to results.  A relegated club's fans' anger at not getting results against Liverpool, Arsenal and Man U sums up to me how far Norwich have come as a team, without coming very far at all - where it really matters - results wise.

A strange season.

Perhaps that's why Norwich manager, Alex Neil's, name was being sung at last game despite being confirmed as relegated.  I hope he stays on and is allowed to have a good go at getting Norwich back up.

I would swop places with you tomorrow Carnellian! I suppose away travel is not as easy for East Anglians but I know which division I would rather be in! After losing all of those pleasant easy to get to days out we are left with the Mackems, Burnley, hopefully Sheffield, and the London Clubs.

Yes, and I think you make a very valid point, that has to be one of the big advantages going into Monday's game. Carlos is known as being one to study the opposition closely and develop tactics based on his findings. I'm hoping we don't go down there thinking the job is done. We have to go with the mentality that it's 0-0. At least that way we should be focused on the task in hand. The big worry for me is that Brighton score first and at 2-1 that would give them heart and we know have funny football is!

To be honest I'm not that nervous. I guess it's the fact that it's all a bonus. Just been looking at the Hull result and it seems Derby are all but out and if we were to get to Wembley it would be against a strong Hull.

Would you though!  I want my club to be successful, to play good football, to be a force to be reckoned with nationally and perhaps internationally.  Go on a cup run.  So many clubs have been relegated from the Champs after relegation from the Prem that there's no guarantee that relegation won't bankrupt the club and I think any relegated club has the potential to do 'a Portsmouth' or even a 'Luton'

It's great for a club like Norwich to be in the champs when they're in the frame for promotion or the playoffs but when they're a struggling lower table side getting thrashed at home by the likes of Port Vale, Rotherham and Plymouth, it doesn't feel so great.

It's funny but the present Norwich side looks a lot worse than the one that came up. it's been a total disaster of a season.  Naismith better not be wearing a Norwich shirt next season!  Need a good clear out of the deadwood and there's plenty of it.

is there much chance of that?  I'd have thought Newcastle will be the clear favourites next season.  Norwich fans generally seem to think Villa won't be a threat but they'll be a totally different proposition in the Champs with their financial clout.

Bitter sweet I expect.  I'd swap it for today's no-show at Everton, to add to the scores of others this season.

Our chairman has put a lot of money into the club and there is no doubt that he should get it back. I'm not sure whether he could have survived another season. It's true that a lot of our supporters want success so that they can have one over Dirty Leeds, the red Geordies, and the skunks. However I'm selfish. I just want an easy to get to good day out, find a decent pub selling a variety of real ale, and a victory.

Those days are few and far between in the Premiership - we are restricted to Sheffield (good luck EC) Burnley, and that London.

Hopefully we'll draw the likes of Barnsley, Huddersfield, Bolton, and Wigan away in the FA Cup!

There's more to being promoted than taking Rafa and your bunch of inconsistent and over paid tarts with you!! You need a proven manager like Colin, Big Fat Sam, or Aitor, and some players with grit.

I have the match on the radio and it's ALL Brighton. When I say all Brighton we already have two defenders in the book and they have had a bunch of chances .

As I write they have just put the first goal in.

I fear we there will be no Wemberlee visit for us this year.
