Yes I noticed that. At least you should have some decent weather and lighter evenings.

That reminds me, I need to download the fixture list for my phone - which of course will have changed by week three as usual.

You've got a good point there CS. I never thought of that before

I have occasionally considered that but ultimately put it down to embarrassment on the part of the club in question.

Embarrassment in how much they have just overpaid for their latest signing.

Well done England Ladies, although its not the result we wanted you gave it your all

Although it's not good when anyone loses, it's better to go down fighting. As long as you can all say you played your part

I've got no problem if they be seen to be trying Joe. It's when our national team, be it male or female give up without a fight that I object to

Although It's not good when they lose, people will get behind them if they actually show willing

Heinrich Heine, Johannes Göthe, Willhelm Busch, Karlo Marx, Fritz Engels, Angie Merkel, Prince Albert, James Last! Can you hear me? Your girls took a hell of a beating tonight.

Delighted with the opening game result.

2-0 win over Bristol City.

The pitch looks great, the scoreboard is so much better with more information and very clear.

The team looks like it needs time to gel, but we could have had more today. If they keep working hard and apply the managers tactics (as he seems to spend a lot of time looking at the strengths and weaknesses of opposition) we could be in for an interesting season.

Hearing also that there may be some more signings in the offing.

One happy Owl off for an Italian with mates tonight.

Decided to go retro with my shirt choice for the opening game.

GJ, that's not the half of it. He has hiked the price for the home fans to stupid levels - he must think Sheffield is a suburb of Kensington & Chelsea.

One chap came on the radio to complain that a ticket for his 4 year old son's first ever game was £17 !!!!!!!  Crazy.

I see a backlash at some point. The crowd was down on what it would have been. Day ticket prices are £40+, some paying over £50 I'm hearing anecdotally.

I noticed a season ticket purchased now that the season has started is over £500. I paid around £380 for mine back in March.

As long as the team seems to be doing well on the field I think the price of tickets will not be such an issue for most, but as soon as it goes the other way I can see attendances falling dramatically.

He gave away a brand new BMW to a fan on Saturday (we were all give a lottery ticket on entry). Big whoop, so one fan is happy.

I was under the impression that home/away legs were pretty much on a par price wise - I wonder if Chasiri has decided to hike up prices for away fans? Another great move, less away fans means less atmosphere

Anyway GJ I see your in the middle of your game as I write, hope you are enjoying it.
