I'm pleased that Steve Bruce has taken Hull down as I don't like him much or Hull for that matter. Will see them next season in the Championship.

Great to see Liverpool being totally thrashed 6-1 by Stoke. Looks like Rodgers job is on the line. Just a shame they could not overtaken by Spurs.

Looks like Mike Ashley is going nowhere. Tough character and I don't think the fans will get him out anytime soon.

He won't will he cause when the telly money goes up the club will be worth even more....

I saw a programme about him and his company Sports Direct. He is IMO quite a dodgy character who is not shy about exploiting all the business practices he can.

Newcastle is a vehicle for money making.

He pretty much never speaks to anyone, press, business, no one.

They mentioned that on Final Score. Apparently qualification for Champions League would be enough.

But how can he expect to outperform teams like Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Man Ure, Liverpoo and Tottenham/Southampton to a lesser degree unless he spends a shed load of cash. He's got the money, but will he spend it?

This is a tough one as it's two FM's going head to head. But in true neutral style I will offer my commiserations to Garage Joe and congratulations to Carnelian.

On a different note I see our local rivals have got rid of their manager Nigel Clough. I do find it bizarre that you would get rid of a manager after leading them to the play-offs and a great cup run. Surely the least you would expect next season is the play-offs and possibly automatic promotion.

Finally, I also note that Derby have released their manager too. It's all starting to happen.

Despite the result I'm pleased you are enjoying your day out. Hopefully you will enjoy next season as much as this one.

Hi Garage Joe,

hope you had a good day.  Have to admit that I thought Boro would be more of a battle and the match almost seemed over at mid way during the first half.  Boro were much better in the second half but didn't really like look they were going to force extra time.

I can't say too much about boro fans as I got to the stadium at 2:15 so very little time to soak up the atmosphere. Was hoping to have time to check out the pubs around Wembley but I could only manage a couple of cans in a crappy night club-come-pub right next to the ground.

no problems with the boro fans I saw, they seemed in good spirit despite the result

Hope you have a great season in 2015-16!

Possibly. Did you see any Michael Palin lookalikes?

I don't look like Michael Palin!  Or Sarah Palin for that matter!

Nope. I know who I want but he's way out of our price bracket and there's no way in hell.......
