its going bonkers round here in the middle of aston villa land
michael owen should join the army as a drone-boring b@stard voice
It looks like we are taking 7000 to Fulham on Saturday. I hope it's as good as Brentford.
Bugger!
Looked pretty comfortable first half taking a deserved lead and then the second half! What happened, I think they stayed in the dressing room and consequently conceded two and lost to the dirty weeds scum.
Not happy, but a great finish for us and our best position in the league for 7500 years.
That's the season done for me now.

The Canaries are in the same boat. Things have slipped when they should have been coming together for the final push.
Watching last week's match, I must say Boro's defence is extremely tight and closed down Norwich at every point - they just didn't give any space. Boro were brilliant in the first 20 mins but then settled. Patrick Bamford ripped Norwich apart before his injury. They looked a different team when he was injured.
I couldn't see Norwich scoring if they played for the next five hours. On the negative side, Boro conceded massive amounts of possession and played so deep. I can see them being ripped apart by better clubs than Norwich in the Prem.
Can you? At this rate we won't get a sniff of The Premiership, no bad thing IMHYCO. I expect we may be seeing you at Wem-ber-lee though but.

It wouldn't be a bad thing except that failing to get back in the prem often leads to clubs almost going bust and a rapid fall down the league.
One point closer to the PL title - surely now it's just a matter of "when"...
@carnelian
we've been failing to get back in Division 1/premiership for most of the years I've been going since 1963.
I have just been taking a coffee after work. My favourite coffee shop is in Sheffield city centre and opposite the Mercure hotel.
I have just watched 6 members of the Reading team stroll over from the hotel and join me for coffee.
I understand that they are playing Rotherham tomorrow night, maybe I should let the Rotherham fans know so they can make noise, disrupt the teams sleep and get the win they need after their 3 point deduction.
One wonders whether the Queen's enemies using the above information will be able to detect our favourite agent's caffy. I can! It's where we had our pre-meal coffee a couple of seasons ago.
Congratulations to Bournmouth on their promotion. Though I know its not a mathematically certainty but can't see a 19 'goal difference' advantage being overturned somehow
The 'Boro may give it a go though but.

Not succeed
Lol I like an optimist GJβ¦ but itβs the play-offs for βboro and Norwich now.
No no! Seriously the 'boro only need ten goals if Bournemouth lose 8-0 etc.

Yep true but...
Yes better than Mourinho, better than Gaal, better than Pochettino etc.
Crunch day coming up. It will be a mad scramble tomorrow afternoon working out who we will play and purchasing transport and tickets.

Meanstwhile: sell out at the Riverside
I predict play off against Norwich
It's looking that way!
Looks like it's an 'Old Farm' Darby for the play-offs. Norwich have the better side than Ipswich, but as the old clichΓ© goes, "the play-offs are a lottery".
Well, well, well. I see we went to a top side and got another result. A late, late equaliser by our useless striker Atdhe Nuhiu.
So, given that I did not expect too much from our final few fixtures, we got draws at Bournemouth & Watford and beat Brentford.
Looking forward to a challenge for the top 10 next season.

I'm looking forward to challenging to stay in the Premier

More interesting results today I noticed. I am quite surprised (but not sad) at Manure's current form. I think you may just scrape it Sprout.
I dunno EC, I've always said we're not too big to go down. It's getting scarily close

I think that applies to all teams IMO Sprout, although I suspect some teams actually believe that they are. At the end of the season the table never lies and there is always another season. The Championship can be a very entertaining league, ask GJ he's seen a hell of a lot of it.
The Prem might seem the holy grail, but I'm not convinced.
I don't know how to say this without denegrating the Championship as that's a hell of a league to get out of, but maybe that's all we're good for at the minute.
It depends what you want out of football. In a practical sense one's team need to be in the Premiership because that's where the pretty polly lies, and that's the most important factor in such a market based endeavour.
However I like my away days, and the Championship is full of some very nice venues. This season the highlight was Brentford away. It had a standing area, a pub on every corner of the ground, and some of the best local fans I have ever met. Huddersfield had the best pub (as recommended by Queen of the High Teas)
Unsurprisingly the worst ground visited was the Etihad.
I've been going through the Logistics of a trip to Brentford on Friday night!
Please excuse me while I take a moment to gloat shamelessly!
My favourite but was, "Dive in a minute, he's gonna dive in a minute!"
I saw a couple of facts, and I like a nice picture representation.
Following his latest triumph, Mourinho now averages a trophy every 34 matches as a manager.
Combining his two spells in England, Mourinho's win percentage is better than any manager in Premier League history.
Due to an oversight I've missed out on Brentford away. I didn't realise they were selling them on a Sunday morning.

The prem is a poisoned challice to mid sized clubs
