I'm not quite getting this Cellino saga at Leeds. If this guy is not fit and proper to own and run an English football club, then how come he only has to wait until April to regain the helm at Leeds?

Should he not be booted out of English football?

Probably as Leeds are a basket case football club, and any dubious chancer can own them

Unfortunately the last bunch of local "businessmen" that owned Wednesday decided that investment in the business of football was not a priority.

After Saturday's performance it's nice to look forward to some change, especially on the striker front as we can't score for toffee, I think we are now the lowest scorers in the division or maybe that's Blackpool, either way it's grim reading.

I see your team are pushing hard for the Prem. Beating Man City must have given the team a real boost.

Today at Hillsborough we entertain Cardiff City. I'm looking forward to seeing how many of the new signings make their debut and how that will affect the team - let's face it we can't score at the moment so anything is an improvement!

No doubt there will be some taunting over the rugby!

Here's hoping for a better Wednesday performance and three points.

Sheffield Wednesday 1 - Cardiff City 1

Main points

  • Cardiff City fans were not very respectful to our outgoing chairman (Milan Mandaric) who was addressing the fans before kick-off!
  • We were carp first half, not sure the lads had realised the ref had kicked off
  • The Hillsborough pitch is terrible forcing sides into a long ball game. Too many bobbles when played on ground.
  • We concede a very soft goal from a defensive perspective.
  • The Cardiff scorer (Kenwyne Jones) does not celebrate his goal in front of the kop, nice touch being an ex player.
  • We get the new signing Bus on and he makes an impact, looks decent and when he gets game time could be an asset.
  • Sergiu Bus wind penalty. 1-1, well converted by Manure loanee Keane
  • Create more chances and could have stolen this one, but as it stands not too displeased with result.

You seem destined for a mid-table finish.

I completely agree. That would be a decent finish and something to build on next season.

Given where you were just a few seasons ago (Div 1) it's steady progress.

I'm sure your local rivals would love to be where you are at this time!

Yes it is and as a supporter I am quite pleased. What I would like to see now is more consistency in the league and develop the quality of football being played.

It's all gone a bit quiet regarding our neighbours, not having the derbies seems to have cooled the rivalry somewhat. I suspect that their exploits in the league have hampered their challenge for promotion. It could be another season in Division One for them.
