We bumped into a couple of vexed Hull fans. Otherwise 'Boro fans seemed to be everywhere.
We play Norwich on Chewsder and Bournmouth on Saturday. If we win those it is suggested that we will take 5000 to Wigan.

You know my views about the Premiership. I'm not a big fan. Days out in places like Bolton, huddersfield, and Rotherham are so much superior to Manchester, Liverpool, and London!

We have Bournemouth on Tuesday night, another team doing well. Such a competitive division the Championship. Really could do with a win to add a bit of comfort.

Yes, I was teasing a bit, I know you like your trips and not so enamoured with the Prem.

Brilliant, articulate, educated, speedy, and gifted footballer.
So much so that the Norwich "defence" made several assaults on him and in general tried to kick him out of the game.
Can we keep him?

Not on recent evidence.  Norwich will be lucky to reach the playoffs.  They've been awful and were lucky at the start of the season.  Haven't got the quality to go up IMO.

Yep, inclined to agree.  Big changes needed.  Appointing Neil Adams was the usual Norwich insular small-time thinking that the club is renowned for.  The results flattered to deceive earlier in the season.  Hope it was a one off but I don't think the quality nor the tactical awareness is there for promotion.  Best hope is the play offs.

IMO all you need is a good old fashioned organising defender, someone who can marshall his colleagues into a unit. Bikey for example.
Also a lumbering old fashioned proven centre forward who knows where the goal is. Dare I suggest Ishmael Miller?
At times tonight your midfield left us standing, they were superb, winning the ball and knocking it about with wonderful movement off the ball. Lots of chances but no-one to put them away.

Indeed! You know my views on the Premiership by now! Whist I suspect that we may get a drubbing off Bournemouth tomorrow, we are planning all our away trips for the rest of the season just in case. We have arranged Wigan, Blackburn, Reading, Sheffield, and Fulham already. (assuming we get tickets) Brentford may be a problem.

BIG result for them though - having gone something like 10 without a win.

A good time to be playing Norwich?

Indeed.  I sometimes think Norwich do things the Norwich way.  I.e. do everything possible for screw themselves up.

Last year the board said they couldn't sack Hughton in winter 2013 because there was no one 'available'.  They then went on to appoint the youth team coach who had been at the club since the 1990s.

He was given five games and got 1 point.  He had a near impossible task but all the same, hardly over-performed but was made manager for the next season.

If you've got just two years of parachute payments and vastly more resources than most championship clubs for those two years before it stops and a fire sale ensues, appointing a novice seems like a death wish.

It was the same when the appointed Bryan Gunn, who was clueless.  It seems they want to fail.

Well, we seemed to have settled for a mediocre season of 'draws' punctuated by the odd defeat. The early season promise has withered away into dreary, lacklustre performances with the odd touch of creativity. At this rate we will be in the bottom three by Xmas.

As much as it pains me I am considering breaking my 25 year constant season ticket ownership for picking the odd interesting or local derby fixture. Too often I come away with the feeling that 4 hours of my Saturday and £16 could be better spent.

On the upside, glad to see Chelsea beat Liverpool.

Its about time they stopped goalkeepers wasting vast amounts of time taking goal kicks. Also making them take the kick from the side the ball went out, especially when they are trying to conserve a lead......

Also, stopping players pinching in some cases, 10 yards, when taking a throw in

Come on referees, get your act together

That is one of my biggest annoyances, the casually walk all the way across the box, carefully place the ball on the pitch, back off, kick their feet against the goal post, raise their hands, have another kick of the goal post and then eventually after what seems like an age they make their run.

Also as a referee I would go into each dressing room and say to the players that if they did not come toward the referee when beckoned to do so, they would receive a yellow if they were just going to get a talking to and a red if they were getting a yellow, the second yellow for dissent.

Players who go down holding their head (in an attempt to disrupt and rhythm their opposition have or just break up play) should be sidelined for 5 minutes as a medical precaution - I think then we would see less head injuries.

As far as Blatter goes, I still think it's time Europe pulled out of FIFA. I don't have any issue with Russia having a WC, they are due one, but Qatar is ridiculous.

More importantly we have sold out for Wigan and are taking aprox 5000 fans. However they have sacked their manager. Bad news! Teams very rarely lose after sacking the boss.

They most certainly did

I hope they manage to qualify this time and the other home nations who are in the running too

Ten thousand plagues upon Sky and their armchair fans.
I booked my rail tickets for the away game at Brentford. M'train arrives in that London at 12:53. They now think it will be a 12:15 KO for the tellybox.

I can now reveal that Blackburn have given us 7000 tickets. Another day of semi lethal amounts of alcohol and train travel beckons.

We were dead sophisticated on Saturday with our cans of G&T Mit Ice and Lemon, lots of real ale, and then champagne and four cans of OSH from Waitrose, whilst returning on the dry train. Looks good, tastes good, although m'Doctor does not approve.

Beat Wigan today and a win's a win, I suppose.  Can't see anything but mid table mediocrity in this season.  Norwich City's boardroom have once again inflicted upon the club, it's own downfall.

Yes, and I was pleased with our late, late, late winner. Even though the BBC results programme said it was Blackburn who had scored.

Your team are banging them in for fun GJ
