I recorded it and have just finished watching it. We were late in and Mrs Jer wanted to watch two sets of Streetie, and that Widower one. I would have preferred Hull to come down but the Red Jawdees seem nailed on now.

 

Just switched over to ITV to watch the match (ManU v Bayern Munich).

 

I'm rooting for Bayern (mainly cos I want to see more misery heaped onto ManU) but that has put the tie firmly in United's hands as the teams I root for rarely do well.

 

20 minutes in and Bayern have had 80% of the possession. It's astonishing how they keep the ball and equally how quickly ManU give it away.

 

What about those of us who want to see more, or any, misery inflicted on the cheating Bavarians?

Barnsley play Charlton on the 15th April - MASSIVE game.

Chelsea have lost 3 of their last 5 games - hardly ideal form at the business end of the season.

No, it's not and it's annoying me as I would rather Chelsea pick up the Prem title than Liverpool.

Just finished watching on catchup. Hopefully some sort of miracle will occur in the return game.

As if that weren't bad enough surreal Madrid beat Dortmund. The completion is going rather pear shaped .

On a more positive note Peterborough won and are four points ahead of seventh place with a game on hand. I do hope they can get through in the play offs.

I think Rotherham are looking very strong at the moment. They are a good shout for getting promoted through the playoffs.

 

They have won 7 of their last 10 games, drawing the other 3.

The more I see of this Hillsborough thing, the more it's heartbreaking. It was bad enough at the time but.........

Seven players from Football League clubs in north-west England have been arrested in connection with alleged spot-fixing in matches.

The footballers are all aged between 18 and 30, the National Crime Agency said.

Six other men originally arrested in December on suspicion of involvement in spot-fixing, then later bailed, have been re-arrested, the agency added.

All 13 are currently being interviewed by police over allegations of bribery and money laundering.

Apropos Hillsborough. It seems so long ago. We went to a Liverpool Zappa cover band gig a decade ago and discovered an anniversary service in the cathedral. We attended and it was very moving.
Obviously we have been in the away end many times and it feels unfit for purpose. It was once state of the art but now seems compared to other grounds, like Donny and Rotherham, very old fashioned.
We take quite a lot of away fans and it always feels cramped below decks as it were.
Both Rotherham and Peterborough would be welcome promotion candidates, I've been to both, but London Road remains the best away game. 90 minutes on the train, fabulous Dutch barge on the river selling five different real ales by the jug, and safe standing behind the goal.
