Chelsea can manufacture 11 shots on target in 92 minutes against Arsenal but only 2 shots on target over 96 minutes versus Villa.

I was going to say the very same except I would remove the word 'modern'. If football was predictable there would be no need for bookies or the pools. It's also why lower league teams be teams in the Prem when they meet in cup games.

I haven't watched any of it, but surely they can't be cheating all the time (7 games in hand). I don't like some of the supporters mind.

I'm not a big fan of the Bavarians per se. I would have preferred a nice Nordrhein  Westfalen/Niedersachsen/hamburg/Bremen sort of team to have won. Even Braunschweig.

Bayern Leverkusen used to be my team after Koeln FC, but Gerd Mueller spoiled me for the duration.

I always liked Borussia Mönchengladbach... but that was because i thought it was a wonderful name... that and that they were one of the few German clubs i knew as a kid... possibly because they were usually involved in European competition...

One remembers that the most unpopular person was the one who shouted, "gibst uns ein B !"

Just watching a Copa Libertadores game on the telly. The referee has just red carded a substitute who was not even on the pitch

There are some interesting dirty Leeds rumours circulating.

 

I was told one last week saying that McDermott had alienated some of the older players and criticising some players on larger wages. A word of caution is that this info comes from a member of staff who works at Leeds and is not a physic/medic but works with them.

There were suggestions that the Leeds players hadn't been paid on time. Nice to see Donny and Barnsler won! Hope they both stay up. Trust me to miss our best performance of the year.
