Well deserved win for the Canaries today against a Spurs side who didn't threaten half as much as I expected. After recent efforts I did expect a nil nil at best. City were tight at the back and made few mistakes. Could have been 4-0 if Norwich had a bit more luck, could have been 1-3 if Ruddy wasn't top notch.
Agreed, well done Norwich and can I just take this opportunity to say that I could listen to the purring sound of Brendan Rodger's voice all day long.
ION please don't forget to take our photo on Saturday EC! I don't think there will be many of us mind.

I think that is Wednesday summed up in a game. We are very inconsistent, beat a team like Huddersfield quite convincingly on the Saturday only to put in a poor first half in the cup game. We had a decent first 15 mins after the break, grab an equaliser and instead of piling on the pressure we go and concede. We did create chances and could have got a draw if we had taken them. But in a way I am not too concerned as Sheffield United have got some good form in the cup and seem tobe doing the same in the league, so it may have been a right old battle and I would rather we keep pushing in the league.
It was bitterly cold (I sat in an unfamiliar spot as I paid on the gate). Good crowd though, the announcer said the attendance was somwhere near 25,000.
Yes, I will take a photo. Wear something bright so you stand out... oh and a white carnation in your lapel.
We have had some decent weather over the last few days. Good long spells of sunshine and now that it's not going dark until around 6pm it's feeling somewhat better.
RIP Schalke
My cousins boy signed for NEWCASTLE UNDER 16
His name is Cameron Mooney .
Do you think the ball is going to get stuck in midfield?
Your Boys Took One Hell of a Beating: Jarvis Cocker, Richard Hawley, David Blunkett, Roy Hattersley, Michael Vaughan, all four Arctic Monkeys, most Def Leppards and Michael Palin, who, with the kind of skill needed to run Ukraine or Yorkshire CCC, manages to support United as well.
Oh! And Chris Rea.
Aston Villa have admitted to Police that they were driving Chris Hughnes car, and they will take the 3 points

Michael Palin is a funny one, he always says he supports both teams, whereas some of the others actually support just the one team.
Which Red Lion did you visit ?
A funny old game, I really thought it was going to be 0-0. We were not very good in the first half and managed to be better in the second.
Our keeper admitted on the radio that the ball had crossed the line from the Butterfield shot. I will have to watch the TV tonight to see if our penalty shout was a good one or not (the one on Hutchinson, not the handball).
Anyway, the result aside I hope you and your friends had a good day (I see from other posts you enjoyed a pint or two - did you try some of the Thornbridge brewery offerings?).
.
Apart from the goal we scored I thought we were pretty poor and once again The Owls were up for it.
I had backed 0-0 and increasingly towards the 80th minute I wondered why I hadn't put more money on. How naΓ―ve am I?
Still lots of material for my next article!

BREAKING: Alan Pardew has accepted a formal warning from #NUFC in relation to his behaviour today and also a Club fine of Β£100,000
Why,oh why. Everybody hated him in the beginning until they realised he was good. One fell swoop and he's back at square on. I hope the fans rally behind him because he's a good manager.
And its just cost him Β£100,000 fine too
Yes and I think he is lucky not to be sacked. MOTD have done a montage of all his "spats".
His explanation of "pushing him away with my head" is very, very poor indeed. TBH I think he has just come over as a bit of an idiot.
I think i'm in love with AndrΓ© SchΓΌrrle!
I was not the designated driver today and since the driver chose the radio station I had to listen to R5 all the way back which was largely taken up with the Pardew yarn. What utter, utter bolleaux. The best part of two hours of listening to people's head butt anecdotes. They even managed to drag the Shearer/ Lennon business into it.
Of course in my day they didn't have hundred bags of sand fines or bans. They would have shook hands, had a beer and a tab together, and then spit roasted a prostitute.
I should imagine.
I think i'm in love with AndrΓ© SchΓΌrrle!
That would have nothing to do with getting a hatrick and securing three points for Chelsea would it?
Absolutely pathetic against Villa today. No fight or urgency even when 4-1 down. Time for Hughton to sod off.

His finishing looked clinical - and that is the one area in which i think Liverpool and Man City are both currently better than Chelsea.

Not seen any of the Sunday PL games yet but that doesn't sound good for you!

Not good at all. I'd say that the only side who are worse than Norwich are Palace. Still, a clear out in summer is needed regardless. Forced or not.
I know it's only a friendly but hmmm....
We live in hope Joe
I see you have Ipswich. That could be interesting...
