Thanks I've put photos on my FB page during the afternoon, however I will try to upload on here when I get on m'PC. Otherwise, after the game we got on one of the first crowded trams from the Leppings Lane stop. We visited the amazing food and craft market, cafe Nero, and then the first Turkish restaurant you recommended. Took the tram back to the P&R. Our first visit to Sheffield, great infrastructure and great shopping. We look forward to next season. Glad you stayed up mate. You deserved it. Only one team put in an honest days work.

Will be interesting to see your pictures.

I forgot how crowded the trams can be as I leave the ground along the road which runs parallel - I park there. Although I have used the match trams and they are very crowded !!!!

Yes, I forgot there was a continental market in the centre this week. Did you try the crocodile burgers ?!?!? But it is good, seems to have everything. Italian, Belgian, German, French and Dutch stalls. I particularly liked the arrangement of the Dutch bedding plants. The smells all week have been great.

I use the Cafe Nero in the Peace Gardens because of the view.

Pleased you found Sheffield to your liking.

The Match

Thanks re staying up. For once we came out of the blocks with a bit of determination and fire. It was necessary to get a goal as I don't think we would have sustained that level of endeavour for 90 mins. I think JJ (Jermaine Johnson) was the driving force in the first half for us. We were all surprised he got a start after his injury against Ipswich. Clearly he could only play one half and we have missed him (creatively speaking). You will have to tell me about your team - I understand your manager blooded some of the younger players today - was that correct? I was pleased it was a clean game (I've seen some shocking teams and officials here this year). Still we can all relax now and recharge for next season..

Enthusiastic Contrafibularities
We have a crisis of hegemony! We looked certain to go up at Christmas. There may be some undefined rift in the club. The manager has never picked the same team. If we can get rid of McDonald, our little striker who kept getting knocked over by your bigger boys (see all our other games) I suspect that he may blow the whistle. I wanted our strongest team to play, we had a reasonable turn out, but we felt let down. If you google fmttm message board web site you will see what a troubled set up we have!

London (CNN) -- Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson is retiring after more than a quarter of a century at the helm, the soccer club announced Wednesday.

The 71-year-old Scot has managed the English club -- which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and has millions of fans around the world -- since 1986.

During his 26 years as manager, Ferguson has won more than 30 trophies, including 13 league championships.

Ferguson will bow out after the club's last game of the season, an away match against West Bromwich Albion, on May 19, a statement from Manchester United said.

Before then he will have one more home game at Old Trafford Sunday, against Swansea City.

It's not clear who Manchester United will choose to step into his shoes. Ferguson will join the club's board as a director and "ambassador," Manchester United said.

Announcing the move, Ferguson said: "The decision to retire is one that I have thought a great deal about and one that I have not taken lightly. It is the right time.

"It was important to me to leave an organization in the strongest possible shape and I believe I have done so.

"The quality of this league winning squad, and the balance of ages within it, bodes well for continued success at the highest level whilst the structure of the youth set-up will ensure that the long-term future of the club remains a bright one."

Ferguson paid tribute to the club's "players and staff, past and present," thanking them "for a staggering level of professional conduct and dedication that has helped to deliver so many memorable triumphs. Without their contribution the history of this great club would not be as rich."

He also expressed gratitude to his family and the club's many supporters, at home and abroad.

Will Mourinho replace Ferguson?</cite>

Except pride........

I hope they're all nursing end of season hangovers, worrying about STDs from lap dancers or pondering where to go on holiday.

With the way we're playing... I'd say you're in with a chance. We just played West Brom and were extremely fortunate against them. Then the game before that we lost at Swansea and again fluked a win against West Ham at home.
