My season ticket turned up the other day. Almost time again.

 

I don't know if any of you remember but I said I was going to LA and perhaps taking in an LA Galaxy game, and I did indeed do so.

 

It was an interesting experience. The stadium itself is nice enough, not very big and it was nowhere close to full even though it was on Independence Day and everyone was off work. There was an expected amount of cheese with Mexican waves, Robbie Keane face masks, terrible songs, and a bloke dressed as a dinosaur trying to save penalties at half time.

 

The football itself was pretty decent, although given the garbage I watched live last season, it probably seemed better than it really was. Galaxy lost 2-1 to Philadelphia (who had Freddy Adu playing for them), and you know who didn't play. He'd apparently got into a fight in the previous game...
